MANCHESTER UNITED WEEKLY NEWS

Who will be reported today? Who is one of the biggest clubs in the England, possibly one of biggest clubs in the world bidding for? Lionel Messi, Christiane Ronaldo, Jean Michael Seri, the list goes on as rumours continue to roll in and out of Old Trafford of Mourinho anticipated planed overhaul of a large number of old players anticipated to move out of Old Trafford and consequently a substantial amount of new players expected to arrive at Old Trafford this summer. This will most definitely be quite an active summer the Manchester United board members and the Manchester United manager. It’s one thing to promise positive change to the Manchester United fans, but, it’s another thing to deliver new players with the quality needed to aid Manchester United achieve the ultimate goal of dethroning the clubs’ noisy neighbours Manchester City, who themselves have developed from the label Noisy neighbours to certified champions. There is no single day in the space of the summer transfer window that the notorious football club from the Red half of Manchester has failed to make the sports headline news in regards to which big football player is expected to be bought or expected to be sold by Manchester United and this week is no different. So without any further deliberation, let’s get right down to dissecting this week’s news.

Milinkovic Savic is one talented Serbian that has popped up in the football headline news and has been making Segway’s in Manchester United news thread for the past couple of weeks. The 23-year-old Serbian has risen from the label of “just another decent European player” into becoming one of the most desired players from various clubs in Europe this summer. No wonder Mourinho looks determined to close a deal with Lazio for the Serbians services as early as the start of June in other to avoid a bidding war with other giant clubs around Europe such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Paris Saint German whom will surely salivating at the thought of adding another quality player such as Milinkovic Savic to their already impressive squad. As far as Manchester United fans are concerned, there has positive news and some not so positive news in regards to Manchester United’s ambitions in signing Lazio’s giant Midfielder this summer. Manchester United had submitted an opening bid to Lazio this past week with a fee estimate of £96m (€110) which Lazio has quickly rejected with no hesitation with the Lazio manager backing up the rejection with some demands for the services of Milinkovic Savic :

Manchester United had submitted an opening bid to Lazio this past week with a fee estimate of £96m (€110) which Lazio has quickly rejected with no hesitation with the Lazio manager backing up the rejection with some demands for the services of Milinkovic Savic :

Judging from several media outlets and the timing of the wage demand from Lazio the possible conclusion for the high price for Sergei Milinkovic could be a strategic effort to drive away potential clubs who want Milinkovic this summer with Lazio FC main objective being to keep Milinkovic in Italy next season. The high demand Lazio has placed on the chest of one of the clubs most valuable players might not be enough to scare away some of Europe’s richest buyers this summer as numerous clubs are making their way down to the Stadio` Olympico attempting to price the big Serbian away from Lazio. Manchester United fans will be happy to hear that at the moment the Red Devils have the lead in signing the Serbian this summer this summer as the Red Devil have already prepared another fee this time worth £150m (170m) for Serbian which should seal the deal for Manchester United signing Milinkovic Savic once and for all. You would think the original price of 96 m which was out rightly rejected by the Biancocelesti’s will be enough to seal any deal for a player but that’s what happens in modern football these days: In other to get the players you want; you have to be prepared to pay the outrageous prices. The back and forth battle between clubs for Milinkovic is expected to continue deep into the summer season but, as some pessimistic Manchester United fans might have expected an unexpected turn of events has indeed dropped this week in regards to the Milinkovic Savic situation. Although Lazio has officially released a statement which indicates that the Biancocelesti’s will sadly be unable to retain the services of the clubs’ star man this summer Manchester United have falling behind on clubs favoured to sign Savic this summer. Rather, it’s clear that Manchester City and Real Madrid are front favourites to sign the big Serbian. This news serves two purposes:

1: The news has officially cost Manchester United the opportunity to sign another quality midfielder that should fill the gap left in the midfield area by the recently retired Michael Carrick. But with amount of players Manchester United currently have in their Midfield and add the recent news that Paul Pogba will probably take the option of prolonging his stay at Manchester United, the Red Devils and their fans will have no short term reason to panic

2: The second purpose carries a little more of a negative demeanour to the news. Let’s view this news from a certain perspective to see the result of Milinkovic Savic refusal to join the Red Devils. Manchester United have been regarded as one of biggest club and the most successful club in the world or so the football media say but with Manchester United’s current struggles to clinch the signatures of top prospect players depleting in recent times, the clubs’ current status contradicts how highly the media rates the club. As expected, Manchester United’s lack of success in England’s domestic league has cost the club an opportunity to establish some level of power in the Transfer Window. But the more important question is: What level of effect will this lack of power play this summer?

Also, what else can you say about the level of Maturity Liverpool FC fans showed on social media this week except pure lack of class. After this week’s announcement of Anfield newest signing Fabinho arrival have spark a rain of taunting tweets and mockery by Liverpool specifically aimed at Manchester United. Manchester United had made a fable attempt in signing the highly rated Brazilian defender two seasons ago but an agreement could not be reached between both parties in which Manchester United decided to ultimately pull out of the deal and pursue a different player. High praises have to be given to Manchester United fans whom opted to take the high road to not respond to the taunts by Liverpool fans and showing a classy football club Manchester United really is. Yes! Manchester United did not purchase Fabinho and Liverpool did. So Manchester United tips their hat off to Liverpool FC and move on to the next big business.

Finally, from one Brazilian making the Manchester United news thread to another Brazilian popping up on Manchester United news feed. Yes! of cause the news surrounds ex Shakhtar Donetsk super talent Midfielder Fred. Manchester United have kick off the clubs’ mission on completely stocking up the teams midfield with quality players in preparation to seriously challenge for Premier League and Champions League trophy once again and Fred seems like the first step of an anticipated 3 new faces expected to arrive at Old Trafford this season. Fred is expected to cost Manchester United £35 m to complete the players move from current club Shakhtar Donetsk to Manchester, England. Old Trafford, England to be exact will be the Brazilians new home ground this summer and no one is more excited than the Brazilian as Fred took to Tweeter recently to update to add Manchester United official Twitter account to the list of members he follows. In todays world of Football, social media is everything and with Fred confirmed action on Twitter, Fred’s move to Manchester United seems completed and the fans are only waiting for an official player Introduction from the club which seems likely to happen right before the world cup or after the world cup. Fred arrival will undoubtedly mean that Manchester United plans to operate its midfield on the bases of a triangle formation with Mourinho rotating between his new five man midfielders Pogba, Mctominay, Herrera, Matic and now Fred.  £53 Million is what Manchester United cashed in to acquire the midfielder and Fred’s deal seems like money well spent as the majority of Old Trafford fans seems to be excited about Manchester United’s new acquisition. £53 Million out of the £200 Million has been spent so the logical expectation will be that the remaining £147 Million to strengthen the clubs squad even further this summer as Jean Michael Seri, Alderweild or one other quality defender could still arrive the end of this summer transfer window.
