MANCHESTER UNITED OPTIMISTIC ABOUT HOW THE CURRENT SEASON WILL UNFOLD

Hope renewed! Hope restored. Those four words will sound like words that have been long awaited for the entire Manchester United football club and the Manchester United fan base in general.

Old Trafford has been buzzing and continue to buzz even as we head into the second week of the new season after a fantastic victory over historic rival Chelsea on the opening weekend in the Premier League competition. Before the victory last weekend as Manchester United were preparing to kick start their season, some of the discussions around the city of Manchester United were questions such as How will Manchester United be overcome such a heavy opposition in Manchester City who are ready to rule the city of Manchester once again? Did Manchester United make the right amount of improvements this summer and can this Manchester United team play stellar football or will Old Trafford be doomed to boring, defensive football?

Safe to say the Manchester United team gracefully answered their critics by scoring, not one, three fantastic goals last weekend. The next to question to be asked is can Manchester United continue their fantastic start to the season? The Manchester United players certainly think so. One player in particular who has been very outspoken about positive expectation come the end of the season is Manchester United midfielder, Juan Mata.

On a recent entry done on Juan Matas' blog entry posted the Manchester United website, the Spanish midfielder spoke very highly about the renewed optimism around the Manchester United locker room and slightly emphasizing how determined the Manchester United team is in their quest to become champions of England and Europe come end of the season. While the idea of renewed optimism around Manchester United might not translate as massive news considering the result this past weekend, high optimism will be expected to flood around Old Trafford at this early stage of the season.

However, the better topic of discussion will be: how long can Manchester United retain playing this high level of quality football? Last season football fans witnessed Manchester United rise from a situation filled with disappointing results and mediocre football played on the football pitch to excellent results matched with at times masterclass football played on the field. What an impact the right manager can make to a struggling team. With the massive change on Manchester United's approach to football all happening within the space of three months under the leadership of the new manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer who took charge of a struggling Manchester United team and changed the team drastically all in the space of barely a year, only a few people can honestly they saw this level of change happening at Manchester United when the Norwegian manager took over at Old Trafford.

In fact, looking back at the starting point of Ole Gunner Solskjaers relatively new career as Manchester United manager, the idea of making the clubs legendary striker the new manager was built on the foundation of the situation holding temporary bases. However, due to Ole Gunner Solskjaers huge resolve and determination to succeed, the managers' optimism appears to have changed of the Manchester United board of directors for the better landing Solskjaer the job as Manchester United manager on a permanent base. The best part is the Managers optimism seems to be spread drastically across the Manchester United players so far this season.

During a recent interview held on Manchester United Television, Manchester United's number 8 was asked a series of questions. One question in particular really stood out simply because the question circled around the level of expectations from Manchester United at the end of the current season. The topic itself was one which carried a good degree of intensity to it as the question pointed towards what the goals of the Manchester United team as a whole were for the current season.

Manchester United fans had already made their intentions clear a few weeks before the start of the 2019/20 season that the Manchester United were not prepared to settle for yet another season of mediocre performance followed by another poor finish below the top four spots of the Premier League table.  In the same manner of intensity and positivity appeared to be the feeling inside the Manchester United squad to start the season according to the answer provided by the Spanish midfielder. Judging from the comments of Juan Mata, the entire Manchester United team is committed to doing what it takes to win the Premier League trophy and the response should prove very satisfactory to the Manchester United fan base.

The season is long and to predict a possible outcome on Manchester United's will possibly end the current season will be difficult to assess. Manchester United has started the season on a very positive note but with factors such as the massive dept in quality found in other top-class English clubs such as Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester City, Manchester United might not be able to afford to take their foot away from this incredible momentum in which Ole Gunner Solskjaer and his troops have discovered. Manchester United is set to take on Wolverhampton on Monday 19th of August and the spectators will be eager to see if Manchester United can produce the same quality the team provided for their fans during the opening day of the season against Chelsea.

Manchester United have been unable to beat Wolverhampton in the last three meetings between both teams and this will be a massive test of Manchester United's determination to succeed this season.
