MANCHESTER UNITED READY TO COVER DISAPPOINTMENT ON THE FIELD WITH NEWS OF FINANCIAL GROWTH

Will an extra million or an extra two million pounds be enough to turn Manchester United from the shaky team Manchester United currently is to the strong fortress of a football club Manchester United has proven capable of being in the past? The jury is still out on the answer.

There is no surprise in the fact that Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjear had the clear intention of fueling his team this season with the energy provided through the work and passion from a number of the young talents coming out of the Manchester United youth academy. While manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer has successfully engineered the success of four academy players such as Axel Tunzebe, Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, and Brandon Williams into the senior team most recently, there is still the clear picture of Manchester United retaining the identity of a football club in need of more quality preferably from new, experienced, players.

There is no denying the marvelous transformation Manchester United has undergone under the leadership of Ole Gunner Solskjaer. While under the stronghold of the previous manager Jose Mourinho, Manchester United clearly dawned the identity of a sound defensive team with little intention of attacking the opposing team unless Manchester United had conceded a goal and were forced to search for an equalizing goal that would hopefully initiate a second goal to seal a victory. Under the current manager, Ole Gunner Solskjear Manchester United has eradicated the previous defensive, sluggish attacking game plan enforced by the previous manager Jose Mourinho and replaced Mourinho’s tactics with Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s quick-paced, clinical finishing, goal-hungry attacking style of football. While Manchester United fans remain ever so grateful to the current manager for transitioning the Manchester United team from a defensive side to a robust attacking side, the recent transition appear to have illuminated a fault in the current team that Jose Mourinho did well to hide which is that Manchester United is lacking enough creative players in their midfield.

Disappointment in failing to capture a single major trophy for the past six years tends to manifest itself in a manner in the minds of the Manchester United fans. According to recent podcast talks and short conversations held between a few popular football pundits at popular football talk shows such as “the footy show”, ESPN, and the ever-lively super Sunday show on Skysports Football, Manchester United are on the right track to redemption with their plan of fueling the teams firepower through the talents of youth players coming up from the Manchester United academy. While a couple of the current football pundits continue to back manager Ole Gunner Solskjaers idea of integrating youth talent into the senior team, news coming out this suggests that while Manchester United continue to struggle partially on the pitch, the club board of directors continue to push Manchester United to the part of major success financially.

In a major talking point that emerged late last week, the club announced yet another major increase in Manchester United stock revenues. The news dropped last week across the various reliable website with the announcement stating that Manchester United had registered an increase of 627.1(772 million) from the 2018 annual budget had been secured in the year of 2019. While a small amount of the revenue must have been part of the last 209 million transfer budget which was ultimately used to sign the current Manchester United first-choice center-back Harry Mcguire, the unanswered question so far still remains on the issue of why Manchester United decide to spend a little less than 300 million on transfers that failed to secure at least one extra creative midfielder?

While a number of the Manchester United fans will view the revelation of the clubs increased profits as a positive sign that the club is progressing beyond on areas away from the football pitch, some of more curious minds continue to wonder if the sudden declaration of the clubs financial profits is a possible distraction meant to draw attention away from Manchester United current stumbles in the Premier League. In recent times, the manchester United board of directors has been rightly criticized for the inadequate financial backing recent manchester united managers have received during the recent transfer windowsOn the list of recent flaws labeled against the board of directors in charge at Manchester United is the timely release of the most recent news regarding the clubs new financial increase in profit margins which appears to support the idea the release of the clubs financial success to the media might be serving as a slight distraction away from Manchester United's recent result on the field.

The announcement of the 627.1(772) million increase came right in the middle of Manchester United's current struggles at the beginning of the current season suggesting that Manchester United board of directors continue to prioritize their financial profits over Manchester United's success on the pitch. More importantly, for the Manchester United board to have delivered the announcement of Manchester United's major profits in the middle of the current struggles in the Premier League season suggests that the clubs board of directors are currently attempting to encourage continuous stable support from the Manchester United fan base despite the current poor result. When all is said and done, speaking from a financial standpoint, the truth remains that Manchester United is a two-sided football club, there is the football side that focuses on performing positively and winning on the football pitch, that is the side of the football club that understandably grabs the full attention of the manchester united fans.

But there is no yin without a yan and the financial news is certainly the other side of Manchester United that might possibly determine how the team performs after the January 2020 transfer window and even next season. 627.1 million is a massive profit but how the manager spends his transfer window budget in the future will be the bigger story.
