MANCHESTER UNITED TALK : ARE THE RED DEVILS READY TO CONTEND FOR TROPHIES?

Two more years before Manchester United becomes a real Title contender once again. Two more years before Manchester United can win the Premier League trophy and two more years before Manchester United can win the UEFA Champions League trophy once again.

Fair assessment? At the moment, Manchester United is being regarded as a strong squad being put together which continues to have the look of a team that can potentially move on and possibly win multiple trophies shortly. But at the moment, the current Manchester United team under manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer is just not quite at the level to be regarded as the next Premier League champions and Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s current Manchester United squad certainly have not reached the level needed to be strongly regarded as potential champions of the UEFA Champions League competition.

Fair assessment? Here at the Manchester United Channel, the thought process of viewing Manchester United as a team that is still missing one or two pieces needed by any team that can successfully lift trophies across Europe is a verdict this site is in agreement with.

We will return to the conversation regarding Manchester United’s status as future champions but quickly let’s touch on one important topic which just made its way here to the Manchester-United-Channel website which is Project Big Picture.

What is Project Big Picture?

The truth is that project big picture, like every other new elaborate plan, enforce by the modern-day big corporations, does, in fact, revolve around the core principle of power resting in the hands of some of the big clubs involved in the English Premier League. So far in the modern-day life of %85 of the global population, midclass citizens can hardly deny that financial power currently rests at the hands of some of the biggest and some of the most popular companies active in today's global financial market.

While a large portion of the modern-day football fan will like to believe that power is shared equally amongst all football clubs currently involved in the Premier League competition, the reality is that power resides at the hands of the rich %25 of football clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool. As a result of being the current leading investors in the Premier League, these elite clubs have always been awarded the privilege of having a few inputs regarding just how the English Football League operates over the past couple of decades.

With certain power comes the ability to make certain big decisions and that is the main point in today's article.

According to what has been learned here at the Manchester United Channel over the past couple of days, Project Power is a built-up system that enables some of the current big clubs in the Premier League such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City to lend substantial, financial, aid to some of the clubs in the lower leagues who are currently facing some financial struggle during the current Covid 19 pandemic.

While thankfully the end is near for the deadly Covid19 virus with the discovery of the new Pier vaccine already in place and set to reach the global audience at the end of 2021, the financial impact of the Covid19 virus continues to leave its mark on the global economy including the sports industry with smaller clubs located within League Two of the English division filing complaints regarding the lac/k of financial surplus that has been afforded to league two teams during the Covid 19 period.

As a result, some of the top clubs in the English Premier League have reportedly committed themselves to release partial funding to the teams involved in the lower division of English Football known as the EFL as a way of showing solidarity within the broad sector of English Football in the United Kingdom.

To some, the idea of bigger clubs releasing funds to smaller struggling clubs involved in the lower league in the United Kingdom might sound like a dangerous situation which, in the long run, might run the risk of economic monopoly resting at the hands of the hands of the Premier League clubs especially at the hands of top-six sides Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City. Tottenham and Arsenal.

How the situation might play out in favor of top Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City is that with top premier League clubs investing in the EFL in 2020/21, the 2nd division English Football League will be provided with enough financial support necessary to remain operational in the subsequent years to come. However, according to further information received here at the Manchester United Channel, the financial support given to the second division English Football League from the English Premier League- the top governing body in English Football- will come at some notable cost to clubs in the EFL.

As a result of the financial backing administered to the English Football League division by some of the top clubs currently involved in the Premier League, top Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool will have the chance to have a say in the future of competitions such as the EFL Cup, the Carabao Cup and the Emirates cup of deciding if these competitions should stay active or if these competitions should be scraped to allow both the EFL and the Premier League participate in their respective domestic leagues to reduce the level of exposure to the Covid 19 virus.

With big Premier League clubs willing to provide financial backing to keep the EFL afloat in exchange for lack of participation in competitions such as Carabao cups and Emirate Cups, this creates a lack of mixed exposure between Premier League players and EFL players to the Covid 19 virus.

The big question yet to be asked is how will the level of expenditure recorded next year through project big picture affects the business deals expected from Manchester United during both January and Summer transfer window? At the moment, the answer appears to be that the Red Devils might forfeit from doing major transfer business in 2021.

But with a quality player such as Paul Pogba prepared to walk away from Manchester United, forfeiting the opportunity to sign a replacement for the outgoing French midfielder might be a decision that will once again cost Manchester United trophy-winning opportunities in the long run starting next season.
