Manchester United football club and the Premier League association have recently banded together and released a statement concerning the ongoing fight against Racism with both Manchester United football club and the Premier League Association banding together to insist that Racial abuse will not be tolerated in modern-day football.

Manchester United in conjunction with the Premier League Association also released a statement last condemning all form of Racial attack- online or in-person- with both Manchester United and Premier League Association insisting that all acts of Racial abuse, including the online abuse suffered by both Manchester United players Anthony Martial and Axel Tuanzebe, should be punished through the full extent of the law:

“The accounts of those sending the messages must be banned. Their details need to be provided to the appropriate authorities to take further action.”

“Systemic racism causes trauma, and footballers are not immune by their profession,” the PFA added. “Players’ mental health can be affected by racial abuse and the impact of wider racial prejudice in society.”

Unfortunately, there have not been any arrests made so far. Furthermore, there has not been any new information released so far relating to any further actions taken towards rectifying the issue of Racism within the Premier League and while Manchester United Channel will keep readers updated on any further development relating to the topic, the question in today's article is Why has such a big issue that has been active in the Premier League taken so long to be addressed?

This is a major issue that the Premier League and other major leagues across Europe really need to address is the topic of not only hold culprits involved with such despicable acts accountable but the situation presents a case for the Premier League Association, as well as other major football leagues across the world, need to hold themselves accountable by asking themselves the big question which: Have the Premier League Association and the Federation of International Football really seriously invested serious time and invested serious effort that can be effective into the battle against Racism?

As most modern-day athletes will attest to, the bulk of modern-day racism happens online and while most online Racist attackers have found cyber-attacks disturbingly suiting, there is a comfort presented to the online community that most cyber-attacks have the strong potential of being traced and discovered.

There is the point of tonight's article which is there i9s a route to success for the ongoing battle against Cyber Racism and a solution for the battle against all forms of racism in general and that solution appears to be cyber monitoring and accountability.

Are these two currently active measures effective?

To an extent. In modern-day society, the clear narrative being projected on the outside is that the battle against Racism continues to wage on in every society and the world of sports has certainly displayed the willingness to not back down from the battle against racism.

While the modern-day society continues to see daily progress in the battle against Racism with the younger generation currently taken on the massively important role leading of leading a succeeding battle against, evidence gathered over the past decade or two suggests that Racism in the world of Sports appears to have already mapped out a route which helps Racism stay active around the world- a world which strongly includes the sports industry- and the source has been proven to be what the large population of the world refers to as SOCIAL MEDIA.

Some legendary Manchester United players have come out this past January to attest to the fact that while sports enthusiasts across the globe have recognized cyber-Racism across the sports industry as a new serious issue that must be addressed, two Manchester United legends Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke have been quick to correct the narrative around Cyber Racism as a serious issue that is not new, rather a serious issue that has long existed but not addressed and swept under the rug instead:

It’s not incredible for me because it is what it is. It’s been slowly creeping itself back into society,” Andy added. “I think we’ve had a problem the majority of the time but it was always swept under the carpet because it makes it easier if it’s swept under the carpet and we make out things are perfect.

“They’re far from perfect so, when things like his continue to rear their head, it’s for people at the highest level to start making these decisions. Those are like I’ve said before, the people on social media platforms, who actually run them, can do a hell of a lot more, instead of saying we can’t do it.

“It’s very unfortunate, as I said, and we need to speak out a bit more and address the situation far more than we are doing. I’m seeing steps are taken but we still need to see more drastic steps and drastic measures to people online and on social media.

“The people making these remarks must be punished according to their crimes.”

Let`s give credit where credit is due, the English Premier League, the Federation of International Football Association, and major leagues in charge of football in various countries worldwide have steadily invested finance and effort into battling Racism. But more effort is needed and the next step might be for all football clubs across the globe to make sure each club is working very closely with authorities to monitor all social media account to track and make arrests against anyone engineering Cyber Racism and against anyone engineering Cyber Bullying.

These methods might be an even more effective method implemented to support the currently active methods being used in the battle against Racism inside the sports industry.
