GAME DAY. LOOSING IS NOT AN OPTION!!
Today is Sunday, February 7 2016 and in a matter of hours
Manchester United will be facing off against one of our fiercest revivals from
London Chelsea in a premiere league clash that has proven from history to not
only be a tough and entertaining match
but has also proven to be one important match that could affect both teams
position in the Barclay's Premiere League table at the end of the season.
Currently Manchester United is sitting at 5th place
and five points away from a champions league qualification spot, with the season
past the midway point every point Manchester United gets at this stage in the
season will help in the clubs achieve it’s target of booking an automatic position
in next seasons champions league group stages.
This weekend, the four clubs that are currently occupying
the top four positions in the Premiere League all won their matches and gained
an earned an extra three points to maintain their positions in the table and
in other for Manchester United to keep up with the pace we need to come out of
this clash against Chelsea with at least a point. In-other to avoid a loss today
Manchester United need to pay close attention to these key areas in the game:
Strong Midfield:
Execute our passes to near perfection in other to trigger the offence as
quickly as possible. Shut down Willian and Cesc Fabregas and make sure that the Chelsea
midfield does not have a comfortable match at all. Great news is that Micheal
Carrick just returned from injury so his experience and skills will be crucial in
helping the team come out of today's game with either a win or draw. If Ander
Herera plays today then Ander should
make sure that he runs up to support Rooney as much as possible while Fellaini
or Schneiderlin, should either player play a roll in today's game should always
stay in front of the defense at all time to break up any attack Chelsea builds
up against the team.
Fast, Strong, Wingers:
Martial should definitely be listed as one of the starting wingers for
today's game because he is quick, he is young and he is a solid finisher and he
will be able to take the attention of the Chelsea defenders away from Rooney
which will leave our Captain with enough time to create goals for himself and
his team mates. Also because Ashley Young is sidelined with injury it would make sense for Memphis to start along side Martial.
Memphis should start in the right wing rather than Jessie
because Memphis is the more experienced player and should be able to handle the pressure of
big game like today's game. Also Memphis has spent time on the bench so he will
be fresh and able to keep up with the pace of the game.
Every Manchester United fan, player and coach knows just how
significant today's game could impact the rest of the season especially when the
Manchester United fans and players bear in mind that the team is currently
sitting in 5th place five points behind Arsenal who play Bournemouth
today away at Dean Court. So if Manchester United manage to come out of today's
game against Chelsea with a win and Bournemouth manages to hold Arsenal to a
draw or even beat Arsenal today then Manchester United will not only gain huge
confidence but the team will also cut the gap between us and that top four
position to two points.
