TOLD YOU CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DREAM WAS ACHIEVABLE
Good Day
everyone and thank you for visiting my blog site in your quest for more
information surrounding Manchester United and the issue surrounding Old
Trafford and the clubs quest for more solutions to solve the problems
preventing the club from achieving further success in each competition the club
participates in this past and current season.
TODAY'S TOPIC: TEAM SELECTION, FORMATIONS and FIGHT FOR FOURTH PLACE
I’ve been watching most of the matches the team has been playing this season and I have to say that during the middle of the season, Manchester United's flowing, swift, Football which was very apparent in the start of the season started depleting as the season moved on. The question that pop into my mind when I watched the matches Manchester United played in the pre season and compared the pre season matches is where did the pace, precision, quick creativity and confidence go from the team? However, the current Manchester United team play like we are way too cautious not to concede goals which leaves The Red Devils seating back, waiting for t5he opponent to attack first, score a goal and then sit back deep and defend for the rest of the game. I don’t have a problem with that tactics but I do however have a problem with the lack of ball movement, quickness and player movement I’m seeing in the team and the reason partly because some of Manchester United players have been forced to play in positions they are not comfortable with and for most part not playing at all. Typical example is Mata playing right midfield rather than central Attacking Midfield, Lingard starting matches rather than depay and players like Herrera, Fellaini to grab a place on the bench. I know that the new Graduates from the Academy has been performing well but if Manchester United still has Champions League Ambition for Next Season in mind then we need finish the season with our best players on the pitch and not on the bench.
