READY FOR THE NEW SEASON

It’s the start of the new Premier League Season and it could not  have arrived any sooner for football lovers in england and football lovers all around the world. Lots of transfer talks, transfer speculations and transfer activities from various clubs in and around England.

Liverpool went into the transfer window and strengthened their squad by buying Danny Ings for the sum of £6.5m and a further €1.5m in add-ons for the former Burnley striker who was sensational for Burnley a few seasons ago. Sadio Mane is one player whose transfer from Southampton FC to Liverpool FC really caught my attention. After playing 75 Games for Southampton last season and in the progress of the season, he scored 25 goals and made 14 assists in a season that saw Southampton reach within a hair's breadth of qualifying for the Champions League. Now Maine has signed for Liverpool and is ready to get the season started.  Liverpool also brought back Mario Balotelli after his loan spell to Italian Giants AC Milan. Although there are some rumours that the club from Anfield has told Balotelli to look for a new club.

With so many clubs strengthening themselves with key signings in the transfer window before this season kicked off, I was beginning to question if Manchester United, under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, was ready to handle the pressure of the new season. I mean, if the main objective for Manchester United is to win the Premier League title this season, qualify for next season's Champions League Competition and win the Champions League in the near future then Manchester United must at least flex its financial muscle by buying at least three key players before the season starts right? I was unsure but after a while, Mourinho showed why he is known as one of the best Managers in Europe, if not the best Manager around the world. First, he signed  Eric Bailly: Young, quick, powerful, Bailly has got what it takes to succeed as Manchester United defender and with Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos RoJo all support with knowledge of the team during a game and at practice, who knows Bailly might turn out to be just as good as Vidic. We’ll have to wait and see.  Finally we have to the three massive signings that has the players and the Fans bursting with excitement for the start of the season. We have Henrikh Mkhitaryan acquired from Borussia Dortmund for 42 million dollars and i think he is worth it because for the next four years Manchester United is looking at a player who will bring pace, trickery, boost team morale with his unselfishness and he has an eye for goals as well, so why would Manchester United not want to sign him? No reason whatsoever, sign him on, well done Bussiness by Mr Mourinho,  Old trafford is happy to have him and his teammates are happy to have him  and Mkhitaryan is happy to be part of the team.   Next up we signed the big, bad, skillful, powerful, goal scoring machine Zlatan Ibrahimovic, just when you think Mourinho is done he signs Ibrahimovic. You can imagine the delight and the rush of adrenaline in the minds of Manchester United fans, players  and fans when the news about the signing of Ibrahimovic arrived to not just Carrington but also to every Manchester United fan around the world. It’s amazing, absolutely amazing for Manchester United players and fans to know that the strength of the team has Intensified with the addition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the team.  I'm not sure if there is any popularly known league in the world which ibrahimovic has not played for or any known league in the world he has played for failed to win a title. Spain, Italy, Netherland and France. He’s won so many trophies and gained a lot of experience and knowledge for the game of football and now he is bringing all his knowledge and quality to Old Trafford. The fans are ecstatic, the whole team is excited for the season and I’m just looking forward to the first game of the season this Sunday.

Finally, the main topic which most Manchester United fans, Players and Board Members have been anxiously anticipating has arrived. The would he or would he not sign for Manchester United has finally been answered. After months and speculations of Real Madrid possibly hijacking the deal and taking this player away from Manchester United for another possible four years or more away from Old Trafford, the rumours were all laid to waste by Manchester United football club when Jose Mourinho confirmed indirectly confirmed that Manchester United has indeed signed back the french Midfielder after Manchester United had rashly released the young, extremely talented, extremely gifted midfielder to Italian football giants Juventus on the 3rd of July 2012 after Pogba was given just five appearances for Manchester United, most of which Pogba was made to come of the bench rather than given a chance to start for the team.  As a young player, fans have to try and understand the frustrations that comes when young players  are denied the opportunity to showcase their ability in a game playing for a club that you love and support. It’s frustrating and sometimes denying players the chance to help the team win can affect footballers, especially young footballers psychologically because not allowing to express themselves and showcase their talents during live match will make the players feel like they are not wanted by the club and with that unwanted feeling comes depression and most times the solution for depression is a change of scenery: in other words, a move to other clubs.  Personally, I think Manchester United is quite lucky to have finalized the official return of Paul Pogba because after a player has been threatened with such disrespect by a club which the player adored and was lay everything on the line to help the club succeed, it’s hard for the player to return to his old stumping ground. Especially considering how successful Pogba was while he was playing for Juventus in Turin, Italy.  I guess the fitting conclusion and moral to this article is Football clubs of the modern era should learn to appreciate the players they have right now and work with the players to grow together as a club and achieve lots of success together in the future. The grass is not always greener on the other side, rather the grass on your own backyard might just need a little more, care, dedication and understanding in other to shine bright and succeed in life.
