BUILD BACK THE FORTRESS

What happened to the fortress? That is the question that has been buzzing around the minds of Manchester United fans for the past few seasons ever since the great, legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson retired from his position as manchester manager after managing the club 14 seasons before his retirement from football management in 2013 Manchester United are finding the task of replacing the legendary manager with another Manager that will be as equally efficient as Sir Alex Ferguson quite difficult.  You would think that legendary managers like Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho whom have both created formidable title win teams in the past with Van Gaal managing  FC Barcelona, Ajax, FC Bayern Munich to at least twenty one titles combined together in his 30 years of being a manager and Mourinho who is currently the man entrusted by Manchester United board of directors to lead the Red Devils back to being a real Title contending team once again. To be honest with every football fan, football critic, football analyst and football lovers everywhere, I will like to point out that both Mr Van Gaal and Mr Mourinho have both put up a valiant effort to try and rebuild Old Trafford into the strong, formidable, fortress Old Trafford once was  under Sir Alex Ferguson by signing superstar players like Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Bastian Schweinsteiger, David DE Gea, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the list goes on but here is the big question: if Manchester United is a super dominant team with the same amount of super star players or, arguable, with less super star players under Sir Ferguson control as the current Manchester United team has in the team's roster, why is the current Manchester United team struggling to occupy one of the top four positions of the Barclays Premier League table? Not just that, why has the team not been able to qualify for the UEFA Champions League since 2015?

Here is the answer I came up with: Yes, I agree that the Premier League is undoubtedly one of the toughest football competition in all of Europe. However, if Manchester United owners, investors and fans are constantly investing a lot of financial resources as well as a lot of passion and energy into boosting the clubs performance on the field then the answer is simple, the players need to get solid results from at least 70% of the matches the team plays in the season.  Yes I understand that maintaining a 70% winning rate in today's modern day football competition is a difficult task to accomplish especially with other football clubs constantly signing quality players each season to improve their own teams as well but there is no doubt in my mind that with the recent amount quality players Manchester United has in the team, the board of directors backing the team, the manager and the players all working together to achieve satisfactory results each season, and most importantly, If Mister Mourinho as well as the coaching staff are all working together to create fair playing time and winning strategies for every Manchester United player to use his individual skills to help the team to victory, then I don’t see why Manchester United will find the goal of reaching top four in the Premier League Table this season and the future seasons to come unachievable.

Old Trafford has always been successful in the past when The Owners, The Coaching staff, The Players and The Fans are all on the same page to make the team victorious. The club has recently lost it’s way to success in recent times but it’s not late to rebuild the solid, victorious, fortress called OLD TRAFFORD.
