TEAM DEVELOPMENT WILL LEAD TO TITLES IN MANCHESTER UNITED

Good day and welcome to Old Trafford faithful, the website that focuses on all things that involves Manchester United football club. It’s been a bumpy week for the football club this past week as the club remember the most Iconic players who tragically passed away years ago in a sad plan crash and the club took a moment of silence to remember the fallen heroes.

                                                                                                    www.dailymail.uk

The remembrance was memorable but the game itself was one to forget for the Old Trafford fans as Manchester United came out of the game trying to play the usual football style this season by slowing the game down and passing the ball back to their defenders and building their attack all the way from the back. The game grew even more frustrating for the fans when the players chose to try play long balls from the back which made the fans a little bit frustrated. The fans got even more frustrated when they watched the opponents take the lead on their home ground ST JAMES’S PARK. After the home took the lead ahead of the visiting Manchester United team, whom were expected to easily get the victory over Newcastle due to the difference in the quality of players Manchester United have over Newcastle, Manchester United pressed hard for the equalizer and most Manchester United fans were confident the team would be able down Newcastle and level the game due to the emphatic result Manchester United were able to get over Newcastle at Old Trafford but that was not the case at all last weekend. Manchester United started to rattle and try to score to level the game up but to no  avail because Newcastle started to play an even more defensive strategy and get even stronger with their defence as the game wore on. Of cause the fact that Newcastle decided to get stronger and better with their defence which made it impossible for Manchester United to break down Newcastle even with Manchester United high caliber player. Not surprising of cause considering the fact that Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez have been known to adopt a tough defensive strategy in every club his ever played for and this past Sunday was no different as Newcastle was intent on making sure that they kept all three points away from Manchester United and all to themselves. Manchester United had a lot of opportunities to equalize as the Red Devils attempted to salvage a point to keep themselves away from Third and Fourth place teams Liverpool and Chelsea.

The most notable opportunities for Manchester United came around the 35th minute when Anthony Martial had a clear run into box and was faced with only the keeper to beat but the french man shot straight into the keeper which was surprising considering how clinical Martial usually is in front of goal. Manchester United and Newcastle had other chances in front of goal but both team just weren’t clinical enough until the 65TH minute when Matt Ritchie found himself unmarked in the box and made no mistake of putting the ball in the net and that eventually turned out to be the winning goal of the game for Newcastle United.

The big talking points this week that has been making headlines and grabbing the spotlight on every Sports channel, Social Media and Newspaper everywhere was the Managers decision to substitute Manchester United super player Paul Pogba. Pogba is a player who has fallen under constant scrutiny from the hands of almost every sports newspaper and sports talk show every where. It’s no surprise really, I mean if you consider how much the players salary of at least £200,000 a week then you would understand why the media and the clubs fan base has decided to expect so much from the player with after week. But let’s be honest and let’s be realistic when analyzing the players performance on the pitch.

First off, let me point out that even though Pogba is a midfielder that can play multiple position in the team, Pogba most effective position is the attacking midfield. Pogba played the position in his old club Juventus and he excelled in the position. In-fact, ever since Pogba was moved to the attacking position in Turin, Pogba’s progression as a player skyrocketed  quickly and the player started making headlines around the world of football. But to be honest, during Pogba’s recent seasons in Old Trafford the player have mostly been deployed in the defensive midfield role. If you want to judge a player by his quality then the player should be put in a position where his quality shines brightest and Mourinho has not done that as much as any manager should. Yes Pogba is a high class player with huge expectations from the club, especially the fans. But if Pogba is expected to consistently perform on a higher level then the player has to be allowed to play in a position where he is best at and that is the Center Attacking Midfield position. Pogba is clearly the future leader of Manchester United and he is growing into the role but if Pogba is going to help Manchester United turn back to champions then he has to play his best football, in his favourite position and make use of his team mates around him.

In Conclusion, let’s talk about the managers words from his latest interview "Fighting for everything we are fighting for right now but with different ammunition.” Those were the words Manchester United Manager  used to describe the future of Manchester United football club on his latest interview on BT Sports on January 31, 2018. Before the past two weekends were manchester United has suffered, upsetting, back to back losses to Tottenham and Newcastle United, the Red Devil had been cruising in the Premier League competition going on a ten game unbeaten streak. The streak allowed players such as Jesse Lingard in particular to play one his best football in a Manchester United jersey and scoring goals for fun week in and week out. Quite frankly Lingards form this season has been sought of a revelation for the football club but that’s a story for another time, back to talking about the football club as a whole, after the performance at ST JAMES PARK questions, nervousness and doubt have popped up around the fans of Manchester United  football club questioning if the club still have enough quality and hunger to be victorious in any and all competition the club participates in. After the Newcastle game, almost every football show and write up on the web were all talking how Manchester United's team are still not good enough to compete with top class team even with the number of numerous, high class players, the club currently has in it’s roaster at the moment. The reality is this, yes the club is Manchester United. The history of the club is so overwhelming that even the most critical and the most pessimistic journalist will admit that the Manchester United team played nothing beyond exceptional, dominating, football whenever the team stepped on the tuff and the football the clubs past teams played were simply breathtaking. So it’s easy why the club is always expected to be victorious game in game out and simultaneously lead the pack in all competition. But let’s think about this for a second, let’s ask the question: How many football clubs are currently without a smart manager that can pull out a decent result or great result for the club in this modern day? Little to none! That’s the answer. Mourinho is a top manager who has promised titles and  promised to adopt the type of football that wins matches, well the manager has the right players so it’s all about putting the pieces together, playing exciting football and winning  football games.
