Middle of april is here and for football lovers world wide it’s a time of anticipation, catching up with your various national team and making sure that your national teams are ready for one the most exciting summer events heading our way this season. If you have not guessed the right answer yet then let make things a little easier for you, I am referring to biggest summer events that comes around every four years to delight football fans all around the world The Fifa World Cup. As always the Fifa World cup is sure to provide lots of excitement this summer but there is another activities which is sure to grab the interest of Manchester United fans even more than than this summers World Cup tournament. I know that is a big statement to make but the statement is indeed a very accurate on, no other football fan club seems to love the summer Transfer period more than Manchester United fan base and here at THE MANCHESTER UNITED POST I will always strive to bring you the latest news and discuss the possibilities of the transfer as soon as the news is released. It’s the first time Manchester United POST will get involved into the world of Transfer Activities, usually the website would stay away from transfer talk and focus on the here now but evolution is part of nature so it is only fitting that the website grows and evolves into something greater and better as well.

So let’s get straight to business. We all know Manchester City have once again been confirmed Premier League champions for the 2017 / 2018 season and as a writer/ Journalist whose work delves a little into the general world of football, it is also best to be as professional and unbiased as possible. With the unbiased attitude or Sportsmanship now brought into the spotlight,  I will like to extend a hand out and congratulate Manchester United fiercest rivals Manchester City on their recent accomplishment of becoming the 2017-2018 Premier League champions for a second time in a row. City played good, consistent, football all through the season and the Red Devils biggest rivals rightfully deserved to be called Premier League champions once again and for their accomplishment last weekend I say congratulations to Manchester City. Nothing anyone involved with Manchester United could summarize the level of sportsmanship Manchester United football club are capable of showing than Manchester United’s very own current Manager Jose Mourinho and here’s what Mourinho had to say in his post-match press conference after last weekend's infuriating defeat to bottom of the table side:

“We were deservedly punished,” he said on Sky Sports. “We were masters in complication. Everything was complicated. Players didn’t want to or didn’t play simple. Everything was slow. Everyone was one more touch, one more trick, one more flick, one more turn.
“I don’t think we deserved to lose, but we gave them the opportunity to win the match by being solid in defence and sniffing a chance in attack.”
Mourinho continued to express himself during the post match interview by saying:
“I won eight titles and I’m not in the mood because I won against Manchester City , a match that is just three points,” he said. “I saw lots of people in the mood because we won against Manchester City.”
“Manchester City won the title because they won more points than everybody else, because yesterday they won against Tottenham , because during the season they lost only two matches.”
Jose Mourinho was not the only one inside the dressing room at Old Trafford who had his chance to express himself on the night. Manchester United's very own Juan Mata had his say in a post match interview on the night and these were his thoughts:
“After winning (against) Manchester City we wanted to keep going with a good spirit but we didn’t play well, we didn’t create enough chances.
“It hurts, we didn’t do our job today.”
I don’t think anyone can explain last weekends loss more than Manchester United's spanish midfielder has done in a short number of words more than Juan Mata has done.

Here is the reality that Manchester United franchize has to accept in other to be able to move forward and be successful once again in the future. In terms of statistics, hunger for success and overall swagger which any successful, modern, football club should have, Manchester United are simply lacking these vital pieces of the puzzle at the moment. But to simply break it down, the real reason why Manchester United have lacked success in recent season  is shambolic defence and unless Manchester United use these upcoming summer transfer window to bring in at least two rock solid defenders to take charge at the back four for Manchester United, the future looks quite deem for Manchester  United. As this summer's transfer window draws ever closer, there are couple of quality defenders who will be out of contract and will be open to a move to england in the summer. Here are two important players who would be a suitable acquisition to aid Manchester United in the clubs quest for Championship or the clubs quest to win trophies in the near future:

Image result for Diego Reyes
Diego Reyes: Reyes has shown that he has tons of quality once he steps on the pitch. As a defender, the 25 year old defender turning will be an excellent partner for Eric Bailey in Manchester United starting IV. Reyes skill include, intercepting passes, anticipating where an opponent's pass is heading and intercepting the pass, massive amount of strength in his tank and he is never shy of chipping in his own share of goals for his club, Diego Reyes will be a perfect fit to partner Eric Bailey in Manchester United's back line next season. Currently, the mexican defender is valued at the rate of £4.95 million - £7 million, Reyes would be considered a steal for Manchester United. Mourinho has made a name himself as a manager by building his team around the backbone of a solid defence and acquiring the long term services of a player such as Diego Reyes will be a great step to solving Manchester United's defensive issues.

Image result for Joao Miranda

Joao Miranda: This player should not come as a surprise to Manchester United fans. Miranda has been linked with a move  to Manchester United for the past three season at least that the fans Old Trafford would think that this is just another strategy to stir up controversy but the truth is that miranda will be out of contract this coming summer and will be a welcomed addition to Manchester United. Manchester United fans have shown that they are a huge fans of the portuguese defender in some social media with the number of support the portuguese defender has been getting from Manchester United fan base, is not within the realm of impossibility to anticipate Manchester United throwing in their hats in an attempt to sign the Brazilian defender. Miranda’s current market is estimated to stand at £8.10 million and Manchester United will be open to welcoming the services of the Brazilian next season, age will definitely play a vital role on how willing Manchester United will be to doing business with FC Porto in the summer.  Although Miranda's agent has not been clarified from my research which has made my stand on whether or not Miranda's move to Manchester United will be possible, Miranda has proven to be very good with football craft on the field and will be a welcomed addition to Manchester United football club. Miranda is 33 years of age but quality on the football field makes Miranda a player  Manchester United will certainly love to have the squad this summer. There are a lot of other spectacular defenders out there in the world of football whom Manchester United fans would be most excited to have in the club this coming summer but the reality is that Mourinho is a manager works under the system of cultivation and the system of modification rather than a spending spree system. In Other Words, while Manchester United fans can hope for a total Splash of money this summer, the truth is Mourinho is a man who will choose to work and improve his defence rather than investing money for a solution. But anything is possible with Manchester United under the leadership of Mourinho .

To conclude todays post I will refer back to Mourinho’s latest comment this past weekend  and spin the comments a little bit to suit the thoughts of Manchester United fans after last weekend's loss against west Bromwich Albion and here are the thoughts of manchester United fans heading towards the future, the thoughts are similar to the words of Jose Mourinho but with a few tweaks to the statement :  “I don’t think we deserved to lose, but we gave them the opportunity to win the match by not being solid in defence and sniffing a chance in attack.”  If Manchester United want to seriously challenge Manchester City and stake a solid, undeniable, claim to the Premier League trophy as well as the Champions League trophy next season, Mourinho can either break the bank and spare no expense on his pursuit to buy a Quality defender or Manchester United might start considering the option of appointing a new man to lead Old Trafford in the next two seasons.
