MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER NEWS : BALE'S POSSIBLE RETURN TO ENGLAND

Never a dull moment when you are involved in one way or the other with Manchester United football club is there? For the fans of the football club, the transfer window must be just as exciting as the opening day of the regular season because the level of expectations of who the club will purchase in the Transfer window is ultimately set at the same level of expectations of trophies Manchester United will be able to capture in any new season. Oh Manchester United football club! Satisfaction is a word that barely exists in your dictionary and rightly so. If a club is regarded as one of the world’s biggest club and one of the most successful clubs in the world, why should Manchester United not feel like the club has every freedom to flex some Financial muscle during the transfer window by buying and selling any player the clubs wants to in other to achieve future success in any competition. As things stand, judging from Manchester United’s financial strength, there are no limits to what the club is capable of this summer. So buckle up Manchester United fans because it’s going to be a wild ride filled with twist and turns this Summer Transfer Window.

Who is making the headlines this week? He is none other than the amazing Walsh Man whom Manchester United is very familiar with. And No! Sadly this is not referring to Manchester United very own Welsh Legend Ryan Giggs. No! This news is all about the super winger Gareth Bale. Yes Bale is once again in Manchester United radar and this is started after Gareth Bale himself put his future in a Real Madrid up in the air after Bale had confirmed that he was uncertain about his future as a Real Madrid player. The one thing a super star such as Bale would ever want to do is to alert the media of an uncertain future at his present club because that will only open the flood gates to numerous rich clubs all lined up to try and sign the talented Bale. And cue Manchester United!  After Bale internationally or unintentional came out on a post-match press conference of Real Madrid’s most recent Champions league final victory, Bale is the top target of every football club in Europe but Manchester United are the club currently sitting in the best spot to sign the Walsh man should Bale be available this summer and from all indications, Bale is up for grabs this summer. After Real Madrid secured yet another Champions League trophy this past season, the Spanish Champions are expected to remodel their squad this summer with fresh young players to compliment some of the experienced players in Real Madrid’s Roster. While Bale at the age of 29 years can still earn the right to be categorised amongst Real Madrid’s youthful players who can be productive in the future, the truth remains that Bale’s history with injuries has limited his value at Real Madrid resulting to the Welshman questioning his stay in Spain. Manchester United have prepared a deal that meets Real Madrid £85 million offer to present to Real Madrid for Bale this summer and should Madrid except, Mourinho will have enough attacking talent to battle confidently Manchester City for the Trophy next season. But will 85 million be the only cost Manchester United has to pay for Bale or will Manchester United risk losing star man Paul Pogba for Bale. Real Madrid just cannot seem to permanently cancel out Pogba name of their list after the Madrid had lost the battle of who gets to take the French man away from Italy to Manchester United. But Florentino Perez is a persistent man and the fear for Manchester United is that Real Madrid will use Manchester United’s interest in Bale to finally lure Pogba away from Old Trafford once again. As much as Gareth Bale is a super talent who will improve the quality of any club, will the risk of losing the best Central Midfielder in the world at such a young age really be worth the price of Gareth Bale? Bale is exceptional talent no doubt and any club will be more than lucky to have Bale in their roster but Pogba is already a hero and part of the core of Manchester United’s entire system. Simply put, Pogba is a player whom Manchester United simply cannot afford to lose. Real Madrid already attempted to acquire Pogba’s services a few seasons back but failed but now the Spanish Giants could use Manchester United interest in Bale as an Incentive to force a move for the French man. Pogba has proven to be too valuable and currently has three more years left with Manchester United. So the wise decision for Manchester United will be to get Bale without risking Pogba or set their sights on another winger.

In conclusion, Bale to Manchester United on paper might seem to the fans like the Management at Old Trafford is taking a step up on the level of progress in the future but if buying a talented winger such as Bale this summer means losing a, home base, world class talent such as Paul Pogba in the future, will the move for Bale really be worth the high risk?.  Look, this article might seem on first glance like a post written by a Pogba biased fan but this closer when read analytically will clearly reveal a stand point of Manchester United benefit.  Yes Pogba has not had a super star worthy career in his past few seasons at Manchester but he has had a very good season and has been backed to get even better with the additional players to come in this summer.

Pogba is a great player no doubt and if surrounded by even bigger player next, Pogba as well as other Manchester United players such as Martial, Sanchez, Lukaku etc have the capability of excelling but Manchester United cannot be blinded with the goal of improving the team by accepting new superstars and breaking the steady foundation that already exist in the club.  Bale will be a great acquisition this summer but once again, Manchester United cannot afford to swap a home grown talent and a fan favourite at Old Trafford in Paul Pogba to make the Bale the happen. If Manchester United absolutely decides to swap both players during the course of the summer that will be extremely bad business by Manchester United owners because the club would be eventually giving away their bright future. The Red Devils still hold the options of exploring other good winger whom will be available in the transfer window this summer. Marco Verratti and Max Meyer are two crucial names that should come to mind in terms of who Manchester United can decide to bring in this summer and these players would end up not costing Manchester United a load of money. Verratti’s contract with PSG is set to last till 2021 but with Manchester United set to sell players such as Fellaini and possibly Luke Shaw, United will be able to create enough capital to buy out Verratti from his binding 63 million pound contract at PSG. Most importantly, should Manchester United decide to buy players such as Marco Verratti or Meyer, the Red Devils would not run the risk of trading valuable players such as Pogba to make these deals happen. Even though admittedly, PSG has been well documented to be strong suitors to sign Pogba and bring him over to his home Capital France, Manchester United will hold the advantage of not losing Pogba for Verratti because both players are on different levels in terms of capital value.  The signing of Fred and Dalot is definitely a step in the right direction and Manchester United will certainly need to acquire a suitable centre back to complete a comfortable Transfer window this summer but judging from the already made signing the club has made, majorly improved football is definitely on the cards for the Red Devils next season.
