MANCHESTER UNITED MID-WEEK TRANSFER TALK

The world cup has kick off and what an amazing couple of games the competition has provided so far this early. With one of Manchester United ex greatest players Christiano Ronaldo proving once again why he is possibly considered as one of the greatest football players to ever grace the game, it’s easy to see why Manchester United is being rumoured to be working on bringing their ex lengedary portuguese super star Christiano Ronaldo back to old trafford next season. Ronaldo has achieved legendary already with his career at Real Madrid and with Ronaldo’s super performance during last Saturdays match which saw Portugal pick up a draw against equal great side Spain, easy to see why the slight rumour of Christiano Ronaldo’s possible return to Old Trafford next season is starting to entice a lot of the Manchester United fans once. Unfortunately for Manchester United fans, the 33 year old portuguese superstar still has a current running contract that will see Christiano Ronaldo remain at Real Madrid till 2021 which directly put a stop to the consistant rumour linking the portuguese with a stunning return to England this summer. Manchester United might love the thought of their once Portuguese superstar returning to Old Trafford this summer transfer window but after Ronaldo came out on an interview and publicaly announced his love for spain and his intent to remain in the Bernabeu for many more years to come. Speaking after he had signed his new deal estimated to be worth around £50 million a year with Real Madrid, Ronaldo was quoted on November 6, 2016 saying he would like to sign another contract with Real Madrid once his newly signed contract expires and play till he turns 41. Ronaldo went on to add the following statements in regards to his future : “ who knows what the future holds. Of cause, I would like to end my career at this club ( Real Madrid). This is my penaultimate contract . I want to be hear for many years to come. I’m Overjoyed. “ (Forbes.com)

With the statement coming to light, Manchester United might be forced to face the possible realization that a return to Old Trafford for Christiano Ronaldo will be one dream that will not become a reality. The Portuguese has formed a strong bond with the Stadio Beanabeu and the bond, despite the best efforts of Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho seems to be a bond that remains unbreakable. Ronaldo is a Real Madrid man and a Real Madrid man Ronaldo will remain unless a massive, uncalculted, event changes the relationship between Ronaldo and Real Madrid.

Despite the actions of the on going FIFA World Cup slowing down the speed of the Summer Transfer Window, the Transfer Window is still open for Bussiness and Manchester United are still working behind the scenes to complete a few more deals that will the cause of the football club which is to potentially win a Trophy next season. A handful of players has shown bright during the start of this Summers World Cup and, not surprinsing, a handfull of players have been linked with a move to Manchester United after the conclusion of the world cup. Time to dissect a few of this links and talk about the once Manchester United are seriously intent on completing this summer.

One player who has not nessessarilly been linked with Manchester United this summer but is said that Manchester United are keeping tabs on the player as a possible signing that could be made by the club is Arsenals Jack Wilshare. Wilshare, as most English Premier League fans will know, is a very creative , fast midfielder that will add an extra burst of energy and extra spark to Manchester United. According to sources close to Arsenal FC, wilshare might be on the look out for a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer after Arsenals new manager informed the 26 year old English Man that he will not be a major part of Arsenal Football club next season and in doing so multiple clubs around Europe are starting to show massive interest of taking Wilshare away from Arsenal football club this summer. Officially Manchester United has not made any request of signing Wilshare so far but while Mourinho is said to be on the hunter for more versitility in his Midfield next season, Wilshare along with a host of other quality midfielders such as Milinkovic Savic and Chelsea’s Wilian is on the list of players wanted by Manchester United this Summer. Wilshare will cost Manchester United a fee of around 6 to 8 million pounds which will then mean that Manchester United will still have a left over spending spree of atleast 90 million to spend on one extra signing before the transfer dead line. While Wishare will probably not be the player to bring the most excitement to Manchester United fans, there are a couple of factors why the Manchester United should be excited about this Wilshere signing possibility. One reason is that is that Wilshere is Premier League proven. Ever since he signed his official professional contract for Arsenal back in 2008, Wilshere has proven that he has what it takes to excel in the Premier League. His wide range of passing, his ability to maintain possession of the ball even in the most difficult of circumstance and his shot accuracy from outside the penalty box, makes Wilshere a fine player for any team to have.

Finally, the biggest news of the week for Manchester United is that the clubs number one goal keeper David De Gea has signed an extra five year contract extension to keep the spanish number one stopper at Old Trafford for an extra five seasons in the future. David De Gea’s had been subject to a few speculations after Real Madrid started showing serious interest of bringing De Gea over from Manchester to De Gea’s home ground Real Madrid Spain and many, once again, questioned if De Gea would fall for the temptation of a move back to Spain and sign for Real Madrid this time around. But the announcement  this week is that David De Gea has repaid the love, support and affection the Manchester United community has shown to him by signing an extra 5 year contract that will keep De Gea at Manchester United for another 6 years, with De Gea still with at least another year left in his current contract with the Red Devils. The Manchester United fans have been showing De Gea so much all through social media after the news of De Gea’s new contract dropped on social media. De Gea has been an integral part of Manchester United's top four presence in the Premier League for the past 5 years, winning  multiple individual awards and winning multiple titles with Manchester United. De Gea has been a great player who is loved by Manchester United football club and the fans will hope will continue to put up good performances to inspire Manchester United to achieve more success in the future.
