MANCHESTER UNITED WEEKLY TRANSFER TALK : KOULIBALY, ALDWEILD, FOSU-MENSAH ALL MAKING HEADLINES PLUS ATLEAST 70 MILLION STILL LEFT TO BE SPENT

Working behind the scenes as always to improve the club. That is the tireless job of two of Manchester United's most important men, club manager Jose Mourinho and club owner Ed woodward this summer. Manchester United registered a substantial increase in the clubs profit rate heading into this summer which allowed club chairman Ed Woodward the opportunity to provide Jose Mourinho with a summer budget that was initially worth 100 million at the beginning of the summer but after the signing of recent players in the form of Brazilian midfield Fred from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and Portuguese right back Diogo Dalot from Portugal based club FC Porto, who will be the last player to make his way into Old Trafford as Manchester United's final signing of the summer? A lot of rumours continue to surround Manchester United's summer activities as big money players continue to be linked with a move into Old trafford this summer. So here at MANCHESTERUNITEDPOST.BLOGSPOT, the website will continue to bring all the latest news surrounding Manchester United's summer activities and in the process talk about which players will be vital in helping Manchester United's success in the future.

Part of this week's news keeps us  on Old Trafford rather than away from Old Trafford as been the usual route for Manchester United transfer rumours in the past. Yes, a new signed deal done inside Old Trafford between an already existing Manchester United player and Manchester United football club itself.  For this weeks article, the starting point is definitely about another Manchester United player who has just recently put pen to paper on new contract that keeps him as a Manchester United for the next foreseeable future. This is referring to Manchester United's young Argentine Center Back Marcos Rojo. Yes, Rojo just recently signed a new Three Year contract extension that means Rojo’s Manchester United career is set to last for another three seasons in Old Trafford. That would explain why Jose Mourinho is not so eager to window shop for center backs this summer transfer window. With the multitude of center backs already present in the club, it’s easy to see why Manchester United management as well as Manchester United are not to interested in bringing in any center backs this summer. But that has not stopped the english tabloids from releasing multiple news linking Manchester United with multiple center backs this summer. Alderweireld, Kolebali and Jose Luis Gaya all linked with possible move to Old Trafford this summer, signs are pointing to Mourinho seriously improving his Midfield and defence this summer in preparation for next season. With the memory of the negative impact a shaky midfield and an unstable defence had on the team last season, mourinho strong hunger and  strong desire for reinforcements in both positions is definitely within reason.  So here we go again. Another news straight out of england reports that Manchester United are working on securing one out of three listed defenders to make his way into Manchester United this summer. Mourinho currently has at least £90 million left of his summer transfer budget and the signs suggests that the Manchester United might be strongly looking to invest his last remaining funds in bringing in one defender this. Mourinho has long been suspect of having the desire of strengthening his midfield, full back and center back this summer. Now that the portuguese manager has done his business of acquiring one midfield player and one full back so far in the transfer window, Mourinho looks to have his attention one buying a center back that would fit the Manchester United team like a glove and assist Eric Bailey, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof in leading by example next season.

One player who has improved from his multiple experiences of being loaned out by Manchester United and has thus become such a better player in his young career because of many experiences  of being loaned by Manchester United is Timothy Fosu- Mensah. Fosu- Mensah has always had an unfortunate  time of being loaned to lower club in hopes of gaining the experience that has moulded the young midfielder into a quality midfielder while still remaining a Manchester United player. However, Fosu-Mensah is now convinced that he is now ready to take his place as a regular Manchester United squad. While on an interview, Fosu mensah revealed that he had been struggling with a little bit of frustration towards his Manchester United  career or atleast with the lack of games he has seen while as a Manchester United player.

“I do not want to hear that I am young and that my time is still coming, I want to reach the top as quickly as possible, that’s me," Fosu-Mensah said:
"The top is World Cup, European Championship, Champions League final, which is the top for me, winning prizes.
“I was close to the Dutch national team when I was at United, but I did not play anymore. From August 2017 to May 2018 I was leased to Crystal Palace, I think that was a good choice. I can also play for Orange [the Dutch national team.”  (ManchesterEveningNews)

Honestly, anyone who has followed Timothy Fosu-Mensah's Manchester United career can understand where the young man is coming from. Fosu-Mensah has always been on a subject of loan spell and barely had any meaningful opportunity  to play for Manchester United. With the addition of Fred to Manchester United this summer, is hard to see how Fosu Mensah can fit into a Manchester United midfield which already fits five players and looking to add more. But there is one possible position Fosu-Mensah can slot into comfortably next season and that is the right back position. Antonio Valencia has been a solid soldier for Manchester United for the past seven years or more but as amazing as Valencia has been for Manchester United, Valencia is only getting older and although Valencia can still maintain good play time in the squad, mourinho has to start creating more play time for Fosu Mensah in the starting IV starting next season if the Dutch man stands a chance of having a future at Manchester United.

Finally,  this weeks news links Manchester United to the country of Senegal as Mourinho is possibly showing signs of interest in signing on the countries center back player who goes by the name of Kalidou Koulibaly. Yes the Senegalese star Center Back is a wanted man by both Manchester United and Manchester United's main rivals in the English Premier League Chelsea. While Mourinho still has Tottenham Center Back Alderweireld in his radar this summer, signs suggests that the Manchester United is starting to grow tired of Tottenham Hotspurs tactics of stalling negotiations and hence Mourinho is considering Koulibaly as a better option to have in his Center Back pairing next season. SSC Napoli has attempted to counter the possibility of losing Koulibaly this summer by placing a high price tag worth 70 million on the man from Senegal.

Napoli will definitely be open to making a deal with Manchester United but the reality is that with Chelsea’s recent appointment of Napoli’s ex manager, Chelsea stands as favourites to sign Koulibaly for the time being. Mourinho could still high jack the transfer and ensure Koulibaly makes his way to Old Trafford rather than Stanford Bridge by making a bid of 80 million but that will only happen if Mourinho is certain of sealing the deal for Koulibaly without any shadow of a doubt.
