MANCHESTER UNITED ALREADY IN A HOLE THAT MIGHT BE DIFFICULT TO RECOVER

         Manchester United currently sit at 7th place in the premier league table with a record of 3 wins, one draw, and two losses. While one of Manchester United's most bitter rivals in Manchester United's history Liverpool sit comfortably at the to Premier League table with an unblemished record of six victories out of the entire six games Liverpool has played this season. a course for concern or is the season still at a Premature stage for Manchester United to worry about the teams' position at the Premier League table? In reality, Manchester United fans might be right in carrying the mentality of expecting more from their football club even at such an early stage in the season. 



       Analyzing Manchester United performance this season will leave any good analyst or any Manchester United fan with few choice words which are synonymous to words such as unsteady and non-convincing.  The same old story of Manchester United unable to string together a run of good, consecutive performances in back to back run of four or five games while coming out of the games with a victory appears to be Manchester United's Achilles heel once again this season. Consistency is the one key ingredient which any team or athlete has to have another to be the success in the world of sports and suffice to say that Manchester United at this moment in the season is lacking the consistency to perform at the level of champions. As implied two weeks ago on the manchesterUnitedPost, One aspect Mourinho can use to try and get the fans solidly on his side once again is to allow himself to communicate better with players. Ever since Mourinho took over at Manchester United players all seem to have become players operating under orders with most of the Manchester United players appearing to be afraid to be spontaneous and create something that is not on the game plan. 


    To the credit of Manchester United's players, the team has been playing well ever since their last loss to Tottenham Hotspurs during the very early parts of the current 2018/2019 season, Manchester United have been playing fine, expansive football as the club makes way  to the top of the Premier League but consistency in the uptempo style of Football we have seen Manchester United play in some aspects of matches this season just refuses to stick with the Manchester United team. Earlier this week, a packed Old Trafford stadium witnessed first hand as Manchester United crash out the Emirates Cup at the hands of, a very good, second division derby county side. Granted most Manchester United fans will take solace that last weeks loss to Derby County was a battle for a less attractive trophy compared to the main prizes the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. However, Manchester United have reached a level where the team is expected to play high standard football and against Derby County in this seasons Emirates Cup, Manchester United was found guilty of lacking quality in their finishing touch in front of the opponents' goalmouth. Something is amiss in the Manchester United dressing room, maybe as a result of egos clashing within players and manager. However, whatever the case may be, Mourinho and the Manchester United players need to return to coexisting with each other, even if the relationship is strictly professional and not personal for the sole purpose of winning the Premier League trophy and or Champions League trophy once again.


  
     Establishing an early gap as the first place team on the table in the English Premier League appears to play a vital part in determining which club lifted the Premier League trophy. Manchester City’s ten point lead at the early periods of last seasons Premier League aided Manchester United's biggest rival from the blue side of Manchester was one of the main reasons why Manchester City ended last season as Premier League champions. Therefore, despite the probability that a number of Manchester United affiliates might consider  Liverpool's, current, early lead at the top of the Premier League table as irrelevant, recent history has proven that if a team with the early lead at the top of the Premier League table shows enough quality and enough desire to win the Premier  League, said team tends to end the Premier League season as crowned Champions. Contrary to anyone's expectation, the recent issues surrounding Manchester United have not been how Manchester United plans to recover from their current, below par, position in the Premier League. Instead, the news revolving around Manchester United continues to be the alleged disharmony between Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and Manchester United player Paul Pogba.



     Statically speaking, through the recent history of at least four past years of the English Premier League, the competition has produced different teams as eventual winners at the end of each season. On some occasions, one team might tend to establish dominance on the rest of the club during the course of the season by winning the Premier League and the season after that a different club might stamp their control at the top of the Premier League table early in the season.     Should Manchester United decide to move forward without harmony and professionalism within the team, Manchester United fans might be left with watching the club destined for a future with expensive, world class, players and yet Old Trafford will still remain unworthy to be called: CHAMPIONS
