MANCHESTER UNITED TO USE ROY HUDSON'S EAGLES TO CALM THE STORM
A visit from Roy Hudson's Crystal Palace to the famous Old Trafford stadium is on Manchester United's To Do List t for next week Saturday as Jose Mourinho's squad continues to battle this season's busy Premier League fixtures. After the hugely, disappointing, result gotten last two weekends during the Manchester derby, the team from the red half of Manchester is ready to continue to take on more tough games still to come this season.
Two weeks ago, fans of the two giants of Manchester witnessed the battle for supremacy over Manchester. Unfortunately for Manchester United, Man City was able to subdue the Red Devil given Man City the right to Supremacy over Manchester. Supremacy set to last at least until the 19th of March 2019. Long way to go from this point until March 2019 and it’s only fair to say that postponing discussions concerning, the always invigorating, Manchester Derby might be best for everyone involved with Manchester United. At least until March 2019. As for next Saturday, 24 November 2018, Manchester United will welcome the club sitting on 14th position on the premier league table and that club is of course Crystal Palace or the Eagles as the club is referred to around England.
Roy Hudson and his troops pay a visit to Old Trafford, a ground where Crystal Palace has not picked up any sought of victory on Old Trafford ground in a very long time and the situation certainly paints a very positive picture for Manchester United in terms of the Red Devils being the odds-on favorites to make sure that all 3 points remain at Old Trafford after the final whistle sounds come next Saturday. “ Jose Mourinho is not the same Manager he once was”, “Mourinho has lost his mojo”, “Mourinho has lost the right to be called “The Special One”. ” A lot has been said about Manchester United’s current manager however one thing that won’t be said about Jose Mourinho is that Mourinho does not respond to criticism when he is back into a corner. Seven wins out of Manchester United’s last ten games( with the exception of the recent Manchester Derby) is one emphatic way of responding to the various criticism aimed at Manchester United in recent times.
Few Manchester United fans and Football analysts as well will be tempted to throw out two important question for anyone willing to attempt to answer. The first question being why is this rally of impressive performances shown by Manchester United in the past few weeks taken so long to come into Manchester United's rhythm of play? The number of game-changing players Manchester United currently have in their team sheet should be more than enough to give the Manchester United fan the belief that nothing less than all 3 points should be gotten at the end of next Saturday’s game against an unpredictable Crysatal Palace team.

Prio to last two weekends Manchester Derby, Jose Mouriunho was reported to be unsettled with the loss of Manchester Uniteds main striker Romelu Lukaku to injury but the question has to be asked as to why Jose Mourinho is so insistant on laying his hope for success on a striker whose form at the moment is being called into question. Romelu Lukaku is a striker whom undoubtedly has a great eye for goal on hois day. However, at the moment, it’s become increasingly clear that at this point in the season, Romelu Lukaku’s form infront of goal leaves less to be desired. Which then invites the question: should Jose Mourinho continue to put his trust on the Belgium striker whom is not neccessarily firing on all cylinders at the moment or choose to go with the options of placing Anthony Martial as the starting striker or possibly placing Alexis Sanchez in the false 9 possition up top. The signs were clear through Manchester Uniteds performance during the last Manchester derby held at the Ethihad, Manchester Uniteds current progress report reads One small step forward and two massive steps backwards.
Also, prio to last two weekends demoralizing defeat at the hands of Manchester City, the thought process surging around Old Trafford seemed to suggest that Jose Mourinho was on the verge of pulling a massive turn around by changing Manchester United from a team that operates strickly with a defensive midset into a team which incorporates a lot more attacking threat into Manchester Uniteds performance on the playing field. Where was that attack minded team last two Sundays ago at the Manchester Derby? Here is the truth, and the good news which makes the truth a lot better, Manchester Fans and a good portion of the media are starting to understand that the problem limiting Manchester Uniteds success is that Manchester United simply lack dept in the attacking option in Manchester Uniteds current midfield. Take away Paul Pogba and Fred Manchester United automatically turns to a team bent on defending for an entire 90 minutes hoping for one lucky Counter Attacking opportunity or hoping for one lucky set piece opportunity to fall in their direction.
Frankly, a victrory over Crystal Palace next weekend still might not be considered enough to elivate Mourino into the status of being called right Manager for the job. Truth be told, the right Manchester United manager should be able to take a step back, take a look at the history of not just the Premier League but the history of European football as a whole and understand that Champions are not made with a team content on sitting back and inviting pressure but rather Champions are made from a team built around an attacking midfield that drives the entire team to pile on an enormouse amount of attacking pressure on the opponent until the opponents defensive resolve breaks. Sadly, teams that opperate with such attacking determination are found amoungst the likes of Liverpool, Paris St German, Juventus, Barcelona and yes, Manchester City. But at the moment, Manchester United simply cannot make thier way into the list of top 10 attacking teams in football because of the poor improvements, attack wise, Jose Mourinho has done in Manchester Uniteds midfield.
To conclude today's article, let’s quickly talk about a possible, tiny, twik in Manchester United which Jose Mourinho can decide to take to help solve the clubs lack of goals from open play recent. A lot of talks have been had about Romelu Lukaku’s poor form in front of goal recently with some people suggesting a second quality finisher brought into the club this January to take over as the front man while Romelu Lukaku regains his form infront of the opponent's goalmouth. The interesting part about solving the problem of a lack of center forward is that Manchester United can easily rotate their center foward option anytime with accutually spending a dime to do so. With Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford already present in the Manchester United roster, Jose Mourinho, not only has an extra striker but three extra players with so much quality whom will willingly take on the task of Manchester Uniteds front man. The best part is should either Martial, Rashford or Sanchez take on the task of playing the front man, Jose Mourinho still has two fast players terrorizing opponents from the with. Either way, a decision has to be made to keep Manchester United from playing football which is below Manchester United standards, avoid dropping precious points and the decision has to be made this intant.
Next Sunday’s match against a very resilient Roy Huddson side will be a good place to start implimenting these positive changes. The sooner the better.
