MANCHESTER UNITED BOARD ENDS MEDIOCRE OBJECTIVES AT MANCHESTER UNITED. THE 1ST STEP ALREADY TAKEN THROUGH MOURINHOS DEPATURE

Should Jose Mourinho have gotten one more shot with a new contract next season? Answer: The Glazer Family would have been absolutely Naive to reward a new contract manager who has not delivered any major silverware to Manchester United in the past three seasons since signing on as Manchester United manager.

Those might appear to be harsh words but when you think about the reason behind these words, these words start to turn less harsh simply because from an analytical standpoint Jose Mourinho has been constantly surrounded with a decent number of attacking talent who are more than capable of taking points off the hands of some of the major clubs, not just in the Premier League, but in major European competitions as well. However, despite Jose Mourinho constant availability of quality player in Manchester United, Jose Mourinho continuously underperformed as manager at Manchester United by constantly choosing to opt for a more cautious-defensive minded approach to more 60% of his games. Around here at Old Trafford, a manager who constantly hides behind his defense rather than summoning the guts to command his troops to attack the opponent will always be seen as a failed manager.

Despite having a team filled with a good number of players endowed with so much attacking quality, Jose Mourinho has constantly either opted to start at least %60 of his matches this season on the defensive front. Choosing to hand more starting opportunities to defensive-minded players such as Nemanja Matic, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera a major helping of places in his starting line up this season. True Jose Mourinho can defend his cause by stating that Manchester United’s star attacking midfielder Paul Pogba has been handed a place in Manchester United’s starting XI for almost the entire season but a star player is only as good as his teammates and Paul Pogba can make a case for himself in saying that he has not been played with right attacking players that will anchor his desire to attack opponents on the field.

Garry Nevile, one of Manchester United’s retired legends, has continuously speared no opinions on how Manchester United football club is being operated calling the Manchester United hierarchy “Naive” for rewarding Mourinho a new whopping six-month contract extension that will keep the Portuguese man as Head Manager at Old Trafford until the year 2020. Pretty bold move to reward a manager who has constantly neglected the demands for a trophy and the demand for basic attacking football made by the ever-loyal Manchester United.

However, was attempting to reward an underperforming manager- Jose Mourinho- with a new contract really that much of a surprising action which was almost triggered by club owners who had clearly chosen to recline from making any strong challenge for the Premier League trophy or any other major trophy in Europe for that matter.

In relation to the declining nature of the famous Manchester United football club, the news of a possible sale of the football club at the hands of the Manchester United owners has now become a strong talking point at Old Trafford stomping grounds. The past three seasons, failure to capture a major trophy at Old Trafford appears to finally be taking too much of a toll on the clubs financial stock market bottom line for the Manchester United owners to ignore. A-14.99% value loss a year appears to be the breaking point for the club owners as Manchester United is rumored to be sold in the close future to balance out the club financial spreadsheet by the start of next season.

Sale of a once mighty football club such as Manchester United is something that rarely happens at Old Trafford. But considering the frustrations of failing to clinch a single meaningful trophy in the past four seasonswhich has reasonably depleted the clubs financial reserves, naturally, Manchester United owners are left with little options but to finally strongly consider putting the mighty Manchester United football club up for sale. At least that is what the 2018 stock market in regards to Manchester United has implied. While the rumors sale of the club is, in fact, huge news heading into the new 2019 year, Manchester United cannot be surprised that lack of success on both the domestic Premier League competition and  UEFA Champions League competition in recent two or three seasons at most has led to such drastic measures such as putting the club up for independent investors and letting go of a manager in Jose Mourinho in the past two seasons at least.

But the mediocrity and the incapacity to compete appears to have come to a screeching halt this December after the oh so hated Glazer family pulled the plug on the Managerial term of the recently unpopular Jose Mourinho. Some people still refer to the termination of Jose Mourinho’s managerial on Old Trafford as unnecessary, as unfair, as heaven set even but the two words that might caption the sacking of Jose Mourinho might just be “ Perfect Time”. If there is any Manchester United fan out here on earth who was unaware of the Glazers main objective regarding how Manchester United football club is run, here is the main objective: FINANCIAL PROFIT!

Here is good evidence of why that is: In the past two seasons at least which Manchester United have failed to either win a Premier League trophy or win a UEFA Champions League Trophy the clubs profit line in the stock market has fallen. A -7.83 percentage drop in the past year alone might not seem like a big deal to the middle-class person such as myself but for one of the biggest clubs around the world known to accumulate 50 million worth of profit each season with a large sum of the profit gotten from the clubs participation in the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United just could not take the risk of Jose Mourinho not sealing one of the top 4 spots of the Premier League table. Passion is great in football but Passion alone is never enough to maintain the high pedigree required in a massive football club such as Manchester United. A regular flow of good football and a very good result is constantly demanded at Old Trafford to keep the steady finance flowing in and unfortunately for Jose Mourinho, Mourinho’s river of success has run dry.

Will Ole Gunner Solskjaers' managerial term be successful and will Ole Gunner Solskjaer seal a permanent deal at the end of the season?  Hard to say really because as much as the story of one of the clubs legends marking his return to Old Trafford by taking Manchester United to one of the top four spots in the Premier League table, promoting stellar attacking football at Old Trafford and sealing a permanent place as Manchester United manager will be a fairytale ending, Manchester United owners are realistic businessmen who are more than likely to put an end to the fairytale before the story begins. Manchester United is hungry for a trophy and analyzing the clubs current situation from the business aspect, people will agree that the owners at Manchester United will more than likely look to secure a Manager with a bit more success tagged on his resume at the end of the season
