MANCHESTER UNITED WANT VICTORY BUT MIGHT SETTLE FOR A POINT AT ANFIELD

Away to Anfield, we go to join Manchester United under Jose Mourinho as Manchester United leave their comfortable home at Old Trafford and travel to Merseyside England in support of our very own Manchester United team as the Red Devil take on yet another football club ranked as one of the favorites to be crowned 2018//2019 Premier League champions. Talking of cause of Liverpool FC.

Yes indeed, Liverpool is poised to welcome Manchester United to Anfield as yet another battle between Manchester United and one of the favorite teams expected to lift the Premier League trophy this season is set to take place this weekend. In the past, matches against The Reds (as Liverpool is sometimes referred as) has sometimes been regarded as a Derby even bigger than the actual Manchester Derby. Punches thrown, Managers argue on the sidelines and flaring emotions everywhere.  Nothing is ever written off on a big match such as the one between Liverpool against Manchester United and tonight's match is expected to carry the same level of importance as the points to be earned by both teams tonight.  After the fantastic performance, Manchester United showed against an incredibly difficult Arsenal side on Old Trafford this past week Wednesday, a question must be asked to wheater or not Manchester United have possibly turned a corner in the clubs performance level as the Premier League season prepares to cross the midway point of the season.

The key word to pick out in Jose Mourinho’s press conference after Manchester United’s 2-2 draw to Arsenal mid-week Wednesday last week was frustration. Mourinho spoke about the frustrations of the team being messy in their defense which played a part in Arsenals, less than stellar, equalizer at Old Trafford during last weeks clash against Arsenal. Needless to say that Jose Mourinho approved of some of Manchester United's bizarre mistakes at Old Trafford against Arsenal which quite frankly surrendered control of the match to Arsenal on a number of occasions last week.

“I think the feeling connected with the football club is good at that level. Maybe we feel frustrated with the result. We feel frustrated with some mistakes, we feel frustrated with some moment where a little bit more quality will be a need but we have to be happy with the spirit. We have to be happy with the effort, the dynamics, the intensity, the understanding of our difficulties, the changes we made to the team to be as compact as possible with so many problems and behind was a kid (Diogo Dallot) with the start. also with the first start was Eric (Bailey) half injured and without playing for a long time. (Chris) Smalling injured, I have to say injured was Marcos Rojo with the first minute of the season. was Darmian with the first start.

So was lots of players in a very difficult circumstance and um, the team as a team had a very good response and had a big soul. We score four goals and we drew 2-2. But i think we score four goals and even in matches like today were we play well, we always shoot ourselves. Sometimes we open goal and sometimes we make defensive mistakes. But the fantastic spirit and good performances. I think I could speak about everyone, including Marcos Rojo that in my opinion played a very good game. But I think, I knew it! But he comes with the surgery and then when he (Diogo Dalot) was coming back from the international team and he played three matches three days, we have a problem again. But I think Manchester United have a right back for the next ten years. “
                              (Jose Mourinho. Dec 5, 2018)

Jose Mourinho was clearly full of praises for the Manchester United team after their good performance against Arsenal as Mourinho should be. However, as we also witnessed during the match against Arsenal as well as a few other matches played this season, Manchester United tend to take their foot off the pedal and relinquish control of matches to opponents. Jogen Klopps Liverpool has exhibited tendencies to sense weakness on Liverpool's opponents triggering an on slot of attack from Liverpool.  Fire for fire has to be the name of the game against Liverpool especial at this precise moment in the season where Manchester United appear to have the players returning from injuring and Manchester United seem to be operating in full gear.

Mourinho along with the entire Manchester United team will be looking forward to seeing the same level of high -intensity performance from the Manchester United team in tonights match against Liverpool at the Anfield stadium. Manchester United, with little doubt, seem to have turned a positive corner in the level of football the club has been playing these past two weeks or so. However, Liverpool have consistently maintained top quality performances since the first day the season kicked off and for Jose Mourinho and his troops to walk out of Anfield with anything resembling a positive result tonight, hiccups and slipups might not have a place to appear in Manchester United agenda during tonight's match.  Anfield is an atmosphere built for zero tolerance for defeat or any sought of failure whatsoever especially at the hands of Manchester United so Liverpool will not be tempted to hold back on the level at which Jorgen Klopp's men attack Jose Mourinho’s men tonight. After Manchester United’s crunch match against Arsenal two weeks ago, Jose Mourinho during his post-match conference was filled with praise for the level of high attacking intensity Manchester United were able to put on Arsenal even though Manchester United team were just recovering from a depleted injury crisis.

In conclusion, has last Wednesdays press conference remarks from Jose Mourinho might have implied that with a good number of Manchester United players healthy and added to list of players ready to play against Liverpool tonight, Manchester United will not hesitate to attack Liverpool tonight? Hopefully, last weeks positive performance against Arsenal was not just a tease from Jose Mourinho and the observers of tonight's match will hope to see Manchester United not sit on their defensive morals tonight but instead come out and find a balance between both attacking Liverpool and defending against Liverpool tonight.
