PAUL POGBA BACK AT THE CENTRE STAGE OF THE CONVERSATION ONCE AGAIN

Paul Pogba is back at it again. The Manchester United superstar comments regarding his future at Manchester United regularly finds ways of stirring up panic amongst the Manchester United family especially during Jose Mourinho’s last two seasons as Manchester United manager.

Pogba had been the center of attention during the 2017/2018 season for Manchester United due to the continuous misunderstanding between the French Midfielder and previous Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. In the past, Paul Pogba had even had a series of months that circulated around serious suspicions of the French midfielders readiness to depart Manchester United for yet another massive club in the form of Spanish giants Real Madrid. The rumors were put to rest a couple of months afterward when the Manchester United Board of directors made the decision of handing the French midfielder a new contract extension at Manchester United which appeared to certify that the French man will remain at Manchester United until the year 2021.

However, recent rumors surrounding the upcoming 2019 summer transfer window once again suggests that Manchester United’s ace French central midfielder is once again aiming for yet another attempt to leave Manchester United this summer of 2019. The news delivered on the 23 of March by one of the United Kingdom’s main tabloids Metro UK implies that Paul Pogba has enjoyed his time at Old Trafford but the French Ace midfielder is now ready to look beyond the walls of Old Trafford with sights said to be set on Real Madrid’s stomping grounds Santiago Bernabeu.

The idea of Paul Pogba departing Manchester United will not be one of major surprise for Manchester United considering the roller coaster ride the English Giants passed through before securing Paul Pogba on his most recent contract extension and with the idea of having experienced this scenario before Manchester United might feel there is no reason for too much concern regarding Paul Pogba’s current exit scare. However, the current exit rumor from Manchester United surrounding Paul Pogba carries something different that might raise a few eyebrows around west Manchester this time around.

Last season, Manchester United witnessed an entire season filled with fear and concern over the transfer window mainly because the English press and the sports media surrounded basically all their attention on creating the story of Paul Pogba wanting out of a Manchester United team under the control of Jose Mourinho. Moving forward past the broken professional relationship between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba Manchester United decided to take action in deciding which man is more valuable to Manchester United between the great manager Jose Mourinho and the charismatic, influential French midfielder Paul Pogba.

By now everyone is aware of whom Manchester United regarded as the most valuable with Jose Mourinho leaving the club last December and Paul Pogba not only remaining at Manchester United but also signing a new massive deal with Manchester United that will see the French central midfielder remain at Manchester United player until the year 2023.  This arrived as great news to Manchester United whomever since having the clubs most influential players pledge their futures to the Red Mancunians, the clubs overall Manchester United players, including Paul Pogba’s very own performance on the field have taking a drastic turn for the better on the field which has lead to Manchester United improving their stance in the Premier League table and sealing a place in the quarter-final stage of this seasons UEFA Champions League competition.

Life seemed to be going great for Manchester United and Paul Pogba with both parties appearing satisfied and looking forward to the rest of the season and the distant future.  But with this recent rumor of Paul Pogba’s exit from Manchester United coming this summer of 2019, Manchester United might have some old migraines that just keeps coming back which Manchester United will have to deal with this 2019 summer. On March 23, 2019, a few numbers of new paper articles were published with a large number of said articles centering around Manchester United and Manchester United’s star central Midfielder Paul Pogba. According to the article, Paul Pogba was questioned about the strong interests from Spanish side Real Madrid and the possibility of The Galácticos signing Manchester United’s French star midfielder to which Paul Pogba responded by saying :

“Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream team for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.”  There’s also Zinedine Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anyone who loves football. For now, I’m at Manchester United. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester United and I’m Happy."

                                                                                                                                                                                                 (Paul Pogba, MetroNews. March 2019.)

Comments such as these will definitely please the Manchester United faithful with Paul Pogba doing his best to put Manchester United at ease but the mood around Manchester United concerning Paul Pogba still appears to remain concerned and alerted especially considering the idea that Real Madrid appears certain to keep attempting to poach Manchester United’s star player until Madrid is successful on signing the French man. Manchester United is yet to comment on the situation with the club seemingly content on focusing on ending the current season on a high note on both the Premier League and Champions League competitions.

At the moment, the reactions coming from the Manchester United fans appear to be the only source of response coming from the Manchester United camp. Manchester United hierarchy might understandably feel as though they have a solid reason to feel as though they hold the upper hand in the situation especially after sealing the current running contract with the French midfielder to keep Pogba at Old Trafford until 2021 with an option of a further one year extension still active on the French central midfielders current contract.
