MANCHESTER UNITED CONSIDERING THEIR OPTIONS OF A FUTURE WITH OR WITHOUT PAUL POGBA

The media might be over exaggerating all the talk and speculation surrounding Paul Pogba close future with Manchester United especially considering the fact the Manchester United star midfielder is edging ever so close to the last stages of his current contract with Manchester United and yet there is no decision yet to be made on an agreement with Manchester United and Paul Pogba over a contract extension that will see Manchester United retain the services of Paul Pogba beyond the year 2022.

While the year 2022 might seem quite distant at this point in time which should Manchester United a little bit of breathing room to make a decision on extending Pogba’s contract with Manchester United even further or cutting ties with the French man and moving on past the Pogba era, Pogba’s current contract does grant the French man the option of leaving Manchester United within the last two years of his current contract. In other words, Manchester United have until December 2019 to enact one of three options, either convince Paul Pogba to sign yet another contract extension, sell Paul Pogba before the end of his contract which will provide a substantial fee for Manchester United to use in search of their next potential superstar or loose Paul Pogba on a free transfer during the 2022 Transfer window.

While the situation between Manchester United and French superstar Paul Pogba might appear a little bleak in terms of Manchester United's ability to retain the services of the French midfielder past the duration of the 2019 summer transfer window, Manchester United still have one more option up their sleeves which might benefit Manchester United in the short term but the option of triggering the one year extension clause attached to Paul Pogba’s current contract should Manchester United choose to take this route will most like cause Manchester United to run the risk of losing Paul Pogba’s services in the year 2023 and Manchester United gains nothing in return.

The reality remains that should Paul Pogba choose not to sign a new contract with Manchester United which will extend his stay at Old Trafford past the year 2022 at most, Manchester United will most definitely not be a club left without any options in terms of a replacement for Paul Pogba. There is little to no doubt about the world-class quality Paul Pogba has in his arsenal and losing the French man will count as a major loss that will set Manchester United's current progression rate, as unsteady as the current progress might be, a couple of steps backward. But the impact of Paul Pogba’s departure, should the French midfielder decide to part ways with Manchester United in the current summer of 2019 or within the next two years, Manchester United always has the option of invest in the transfer window in search of the next world-class talent.  At the moment, there is certainty on Paul Pogba’s future with Manchester United and should Paul Pogba decide to depart from Manchester United prior to the end of his current contract, the modern day Transfer Market in Europe is always a profitable playing field which favors any team brave enough to seriously invest in their search for the next world-class talent.

In the past two years, European football has once again continued to produce a number of talented players which provides Manchester United with the option of picking out one or two players as a replacement for Paul Pogba should Manchester United decide to part ways with the French superstar prior to the end of Paul Pogbas current. Obviously, the ideal situation for Manchester United moving forward will be to retain the services of Paul Pogba and sign more top quality players whom can support Pogba in providing quality for Manchester United in the field until the player approaches the age of 31 and 35 at the max. However, should Manchester United fail to retain the future services of Paul Pogba, the transfer market provides healthy leverage for Manchester United to use in search of their next marquee player or marque players moving forward.

With the 2018/2019 premier league season all done and dusted, the season has not only produced a dreadful end to Manchester United's current season but a fifth-place finish evidently means Manchester United will most likely miss out on next seasons UEFA Champions League competition. With Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer determined to embark on a serious reinforcement strategy in the 2019 summer transfer window, the decision on whether Paul Pogba will play a part on the imminent modification expected to take place this summer at Manchester United will rely solely on the French midfielder's decision regarding his future. While elite clubs such as Real Madrid, Paris St German, and Juventus all eagerly await Pogba’s availability in the Transfer Market, Manchester United must be cautious of putting all their hopes on their future hopes on the French midfielder resigning for the club.

In today's market, talented footballers who can provide an extra boost or two on the pitch will more often than not be made available and it’s up to the future-new director of football whom will be appointed next season to decide which players Manchester United must endeavor to sign in order to elevate the club back to the level needed to be considered Trophy contenders once again in the near future.  The fans will certainly adopt an optimistic view regarding Manchester United's plan towards the summer transfer window.
