MANCHESTER UNITED SUMMER TRANSFER PLANS CONTINUE TO UNFOLD

Manchester United business in the summer transfer window has only just begun and already the dramas and jaw-dropping possibilities of what level of action the club is planning to take this summer is already starting to unfold as possibly ludicrous and frankly unreasonable actions for a club expected to be rebuilding into potential strong trophy contenders next season.  

During the start of the 2019 summer season, weeks before the summer transfer window officially opened, Manchester United had opened their quest to improvement in two positive ways. First, the club announced the release of yet another massive transfer budget estimated to be worth up to 200 million pounds. The goals to invest the funds in the project of not just retaining the key players the club currently has in its roster but also to add more quality players into the team and if necessary trim the team by letting go of a number of players in order to maintain the need for financial balance demanded by the FIFA Fair play act. So far, Manchester United have been able to retain all of the clubs key players despite the clear signs of some major clubs in Europe banging on Old Trafford's door to take some key players namely Paul Pogba and David De Gea away from Manchester United on a permanent base. Manchester United so far have been able to retain the services of Paul Pogba and David De Gea in Manchester United, however, the reports of one major European club or the other being on the brink of taking either player or both players away from Manchester United, the expectation as disappointing as it might sound for Manchester United fans to hear it’s only a matter of time before a couple of other big clubs swoop in and convince either or both players to walk away from Manchester United. 

At the moment, Spanish side Real Madrid leads the race between clubs most likely to sign both Paul Pogba and David De Gea. however, Real Madrid is yet uncertain of securing the services of both David De Gea and Paul Pogba during the 2019 summer period. With other European giants such as Paris St German and Barcelona all prepared to join the race for both players this summer, Manchester United inevitably have their hands full on not just keeping their two ace players on Old Trafford at the end of the 2019 summer transfer with but Manchester United will also be battling the challenge of locating and signing the right players that will fit into the style of football practiced at Manchester United will be an interesting challenge for Ole Gunner Solskjaer to surpass this summer.  

So, far Manchester United have been linked with every manner of a player in Europe who have shown the slightest glimpses of flair and skill with only one, Daniel James, out of a number of speculations made this summer signed by Manchester United so far this summer. While the successful signing of the young English winger Daniel James from Welsh club Swansea City for the sum 18 million pounds is indeed a positive step in the right direction for Manchester United, the expectation is that Daniel James cannot be the only player expected to make his way into Carrington grounds this summer and from all indications, Daniel James will not be the only player to be signed by Manchester United this summer. While petite talks of players such as James Madison and a couple other players whom might make their  way into Manchester United continuously floating around Europe, there have been interesting targets which Manchester United appear intent on pursuing and these pursuits appear to be both positive time and financial investment which could yield positive results in Manchester United's future.  

One news that will definitely grab the attention of Manchester United supporter is the news of the Red Devils is the growing possibility of Benfica winger Joao Felix arriving at Manchester United summer transfer window. The Portuguese winger continues to be heavily linked with a move to Manchester United after his stunning performance for Portuguese side Benfica last season. Manchester United appeared to have a couple of obstacles prevent the Red Devils from going into a bidding war with rivals Manchester City due to the preempted belief that Manchester City had already set up a verbal agreement with Benfica for the services of Joao Felix next season. Had there been a verbal agreement between Manchester City and Benfica for the services of Joao Felix, the agreement would have meant that Manchester United had already lost the race to sign the Portuguese winger before the summer transfer window officially begins. 

During the early months of the 2019 summer season, Manchester City looked set to battle Manchester United for the signature of young Joao Felix. However, with Manchester City set to secure the services of another sensational midfielder in Bruno Fernandes, Manchester City are expected to be unable to secure the services of both massive signings in Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix, which will create a great opportunity for Manchester United to come to an agreement with Benfica in regards to the services of Joao Felix prior to the start of 2019/20 football season. Benfica executive, Luis Felipe Vieira, has all but confirmed Benfica’s lack of financial to ward off major teams in Europe from signings players from Benfica this summer. Should Manchester United be able to meet Benfica’s £106 million release clause, Joao Felix will become a Manchester United before the start of next season. 

With Manchester United’s 2019 summer transfer window budget set at a high of 250 million, it might only be a matter of time before Joao Felix becomes an official Manchester United player.
