There is never a definitive process of deciding the future of any player in modern football. There are only possibilities, there are contract offers that are usually laid on the table for football players to make a decision on.

However, recent news coming out this week suggest Alexis Sanchez can still look forward to a long future as a Manchester United player. According to major reports, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunner Solskjaer has openly made his support for Chilean winger known to anyone who will listen with the Manchester United manager stating more or less that Alexis Sanchez has a place in Ole Gunner Solskjears Manchester United squad during the current season. This will serve as a source of major encouragement especially to Alexis Sanchez whom must have feared his time at Manchester United was coming to an end after continuous struggles to perform at a high level seemed to be the epicenter of his Manchester United career so far.
Nonetheless, Sanchez has received the complete backing of the Manchester United manager and the next point of concern will be what will the winger do with the newfound faith given to him by the manager? On a recent turn of event, Alexis Sanches who had come under major scrutiny by not just the media but also a majority of the Manchester United fans with major reports suggesting that winger had run his course and will be sold during this past 2019 summer transfer window has seemingly turned fate around to his corner as Alexis Sanchez has reportedly received the vote to likely succeed in a Manchester United shirt from current Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer. As the case usually is in situations where the club manager and the fans of the football club are not on the same page in regards to a player, question have been asked on why Manchester United made few signings this past summer and yet the club decides to retain the services of the highest-paid player at the club but a player who has simultaneously not really lived up to the level of a highly-rated player. during an interview held this past weekend, manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer was asked about the future of Alexis Sanchez and where Manchester United stands with their decision regarding Sanchez and the manager had this response to give :
“Alexis is such a professional and he comes in working every single day really hard and wants to be a part of this.
“It’s these stories he’s been put in the reserves, of course, he hasn’t, he’s had three weeks now, he’s a few weeks behind the rest but close to being ready.
“Alexis we don’t have the biggest forward line in numbers so Alexis might end up playing a lot more games than you expect. We expect him to come good at this club, he’s quality.
“We’ve had a behind-closed-doors game and he’s training. He’s doing a little bit of extras and he’ll be gradually integrated into more and more playing time.
“But we’ll have more behind-closed-doors games because with one game a week now, it’s hard to keep everyone ticking so we’re arranging a few of them.”

With the backing of the manager seemingly fully activated, Manchester United fans will have to come to terms with the fact that Alexis Sanchez is a Manchester United player and Sanchez is here at Old Trafford to stay.
