-MANCHESTER UNITED MIGHT HAVE UNINTENTIONALLY MADE A COSTLY MISTAKE THIS EARLY IN THE SEASON

An emphatic win a draw and a shocking loss is not the worst way to start a season. Yet at the same time an emphatic 4-0 victory, a hard-fought 1-1 result against a much improved Wolverhampton team and a simply abysmal and at the same instance quite shocking 2-1 defeat to a Crystal Palace team can all be summarized as an ok start to the start to the season.

To some teams, having an ok start to the season simply spells an opportunity to improve and turn an okay season into a successful season come April 2020. Therefore, if we were to judge the season so far from this very early stage of the season, manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer and his Manchester United team have done a decent job so far to start the season. In any other circumstance, a decent start to the season will be an acceptable platform to work on from now until the end of the current season. However, the football club on the spotlight in this instance is the worlds most famous football club Manchester United. A decent result, a decent performance and a decent season have never been synonymous to Manchester United. Manchester United expects to succeed. Manchester United demands success and there appears to be no room for decent in Manchester United's playbook. The system at Manchester United has always operated on highs, never mediocre and the Manchester United system appears unchanged with the Manchester United coaching staff, the Premier League analyst and the Manchester Fan base all demanding steady, positive result from the Manchester United team as the current season progresses.

Reports surrounding Manchester United this early in the current seasons speculates that while Manchester United have recently stumbled on their ascension to the top of Premier League table, a small number of football analysts from England in particular continue to class Ole Gunner Solskjaers Manchester United side as one of the top 5 possible clubs that will eventually move on ahead as the Premier League competition to finish as Premier League champions this season. Upon further reflection of the current Manchester United squad, considering the fact that Manchester United did not make major waves in terms of signing big players that might change the teams performance level this past summer, the odds of Manchester United scaling past teams such as Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool whom took adequate measures to strengthen their team during the 2019 summer  transfer window, to secure the Premier League trophy this 2019/20 season appears highly unlikely.

To make matters worse, this weeks news illuminates Manchester United's current situation as turning from troublesome to a much more difficult situation as Manchester United's current, inform, striker Anthony Martial is scheduled to be sidelined due to recent injury.  Martial was reported to be injured during this weeks training session with Manchester United with the french striker said to have picked up a knock during training. With Manchester United already lacking in the teams attacking department after the departure of Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, Solskjaer will be left with no choice but to depend on young striker Mason Greenwood and Alexis Sanchez whom, not more than a week ago, was an outcast ultimately being forced to find his way out of Old Trafford this summer.

The injury to Anthony Martial certainly puts Manchester United in a little bit of an embarrassing situation especially the only other experienced striker on Manchester United's roster Alexis Sanchez was on his way out of Old Trafford. As of right now, not only should Manchester United have attempted to force an end to Alexis Sanchez move to Inter Millan, but Manchester United might be forced to endure the next month or two without an experienced striker after the injury to Antony Martial and the departure of Alexis Sanchez. Of cause, not all of Manchester United's source of the attack depended solely on Alexis Sanchez. Manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer still has the option of depending on young strikers Mason Greenwood and Angel Gomez as a striker for the next few months. However, given the competitiveness of the Premier League, the Manchester United manager will be determined not to place all his attacking hopes solely on the shoulders of two young players. The experience will be needed and that is why the presence of Alexis Sanchez should have been necessary to preserve on the Manchester United roaster.

Talking about how crucial the experience of a player such as Alexis Sanchez would have played on the Manchester United team as we move further into the timeline of the current season appears to irrelative because as of Wednesday, 28 September 2019, Sanchez completed his season-long loan move to Inter Milan. On the one hand, Manchester United have supposed solved the issue of having a high paid player who was not performing up to the level demanded of any high-class player which will allow Ole Gunner Solskjear to allocate more playing opportunities to young, homegrown, talents such as Angel Gomez, Tahithe Chong and Mason Greenwood for starters. However, to succeed in modern-day European football, experience mixed with a dash of greenhorns (rookie players) is a necessary balanced needed in any good football club as a recipe for success.

Manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer has put his faith and the fate of Manchester United's current season in the new modified team made of experienced talent and greenhorn talent and the verdict on the managers' choices will be left until the end of the current season.
