MANCHESTER UNITED FAILURE TO ADDRESS GLARING PROBLEMS MANIFESTING THIS EARLY PART OF THE SEASON

What were the noticeable and missed changes that have taken place in Manchester United this season? Has the Manchester United squad truly improved under manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer or are the Manchester United fans being dazzled by Glitter cover-up while what lies beneath the surface remains the same?

These questions and more equally interesting questions appear to be the talk around parts of Manchester and also appear to talk circulating around parts of Manchester. Last season, spectators could clearly witness a depleted Manchester United team lacking in strength around the field during matches. While Manchester United's team deficiencies included the lack of quality midfielders with Paul Pogba being the one clear player that shouldered all the creative responsibility for the team, the clear area which needed attention and was dealt with exceptionally this past summer was the defensive reinforcements.

While the club manager, the Manchester United scouting team and the Manchester United board of directors all did an exceptional job in attending to Manchester United's weak defense this past summer, evidence from the early part of the current season suggests the club might have missed out on attending to yet another crucial part of the squad, Manchester United's midfield.

The idea that a massive football club such as Manchester United gifted with one of the best football scouts in Europe had failed to secure a single top creative midfielders this past summer appears to suggest that the Manchester United manager believes strongly in his current squads ability to land a place in one of the top 4 spots in the Premier League table at the end of the 2019/20 season.  As encouraging as the thought of making the top 4 might sound to the young players on the Manchester United squad, looking beneath the surface lay the clubs failure to really improve the quality found in Manchester United's midfield which might be that the coaching staff continues to dwell strongly on the idea that the current group of players found in the Manchester United team is more than capable of securing a spot in the top four spots in the premier league table.

While the current Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer has indeed hit the sentimental side of the Manchester United fans by taking the path of supplementing the strength of his current Manchester United squad with filling the gaps in his team with emerging talented players from the Manchester United academy, the idea that Manchester United's missed opportunity to add an experienced quality player or two preferably another quality midfielder with the quality to create a match-winning moment in any game will come back and derail Manchester United's ambitions for the season just will not go away. Manchester United's struggles during the early part of the season continue to remain present as the club has failed to win 5 of their last 7 Premier League matches. A handful of results that is most definitely unflattering to the Manchester United boss and his group of players.

The recent news concerning Manchester United provides further injury update on one of the Red Devils' most important, creative, midfielders in the squad Paul Pogba. The trend of making the French midfielder making the news has become a recent situation for Manchester United in the past three years or more. The usual trend more than likely involved the french man being linked with a move away from Manchester United, the Red Devil can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the recent news does not involve the conversion of a move away from Old Trafford, at least not until the current season comes to an end.

Moving past the somewhat subtle, sarcastic remark rendered at the expense Manchester United's elite french midfielder and getting back to talking about the seriousness of Manchester United's injury crises, the Red Devils are on course to face some very difficult weeks ahead in the shape of some tedious Premier League matches and Europa League games which the current Manchester United squad are clearly not in the best shape to handle. While the Manchester United fans might have given manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer the benefit of the doubt with the Norwegian manager insisting that his squad made of both experienced players and upcoming youth talent will be up to the challenge of capturing a place in one of the top four spots in the Premier League table come end of the 2019/20 season, the recent early developments and the current look of this season Premier League table seem to suggest otherwise.

On a much more bright and positive news, Manchester United executives appear to have officially declared current manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer as the right man for the job and will happily support the plan of having the Manchester United remain club manager in the foreseeable future. Solskjaer was initially rumored to be in slight danger as club manager after failing to really impress the Manchester United supporters with his signings or lack of major signings in the recently concluded 2019 summer transfer window. The Norwegian manager went into the summer season with expectations from the media and the Manchester United fans suggesting that Manchester United would emerge from the transfer window with signing two quality central midfielders and one quality center back.

Although Manchester United did secure the services of the highly-rated Harry McGuire, the Red Devils struggled and failed to add at least one more creative midfielder who would add more creativity and flow to their game by so doing also lifted the creative burden of the shoulders of one Paul Pogba. With such a major fault pegged against the manchester United manager, rumors spread about the possibility of Solskjaer losing his position as manager come summer 2020. However, the news today claims the board of directors remains behind Ole Gunner Solskjaer and plans to have Solskjaer remain Manchester United manager for the foreseeable future.
