MANCHESTER UNITED RETURN TO THE FIELD. WHAT CAN THE FANS EXPECT AGAINST JURGEN KLOPPS' MEN ?

The Premier League returns this Sunday weekend after the Premier League took the time off this past weekend due to the international break this past weekend. While the players were actively involved with various matches on the pitch representing each of their various countries on the field, Manchester United football club on its own was not able to keep themselves off the news both online and on various sports sections in newspapers and multiple websites during this past week.

The talking point two weeks ago seemed to be the strong idea of current manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer losing his position as club manager in January and while a number of fans are still a little unsettled having Ole Gunner Solskjaer as long-time manager, the recent endorsement of Solskjaer as manager by the Manchester United board appears to have put an end to the rumors of yet another managerial change taking place at Manchester United in January 2020.

In today's article, the area of discussion will be focused on a possible early return from injury for three key Manchester United this weekend. Paul Pogba, Aaron Wan Bissaka, and Luke Shaw. The trio has been out of the starting line up for Manchester United after being the unfortunate victims of injuries which have kept the trio out of action since late August. Manchester United have noticeably struggled to win games even more than the club has been going through so far in the Premier League. The Red Devils have witnessed their position in the Premier League table drop from 5th place in September to a current 12 place position in October. While manager Ole Gunner can not take all the blame for the clubs limited quality in midfield, what the absence of both Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial have shown the Manchester United manager is that the club will need one or two creative midfielders signed in January to add some creative dept in Manchester United's midfield if the team is to have any real chance of making one of the top 4 spots in the Premier League table come end of 2019/20 season.

Getting back to the main topic of the article, there will be little to no opinion within the Manchester United group of supporters that will deny the claim the Manchester United team will receive a massive improvement in performance with the return of some of Manchester United's injured players. Having Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw back on the list of players available to play Liverpool this weekend will definitely give Manchester United a more optimism to believe they can beat Liverpool this Sunday. In more recent news coming out of England this past week, forward Anthony Martial has returned to training with Manchester United after his lengthy spell of Absence due to a hamstring injury.

Martial suffered a hamstring injury in August against Crystal Palace and has since been unable to play for Manchester United for the past two months at the least. While Anthony Martial has made himself available for the be a part of the squad to entertain current league leaders Liverpool at Old Trafford, there is a sense of concern around the French striker not being a hundred percent fit to face Jorgen Klopp's side this Sunday which seems to support the idea that manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer unwilling to rush Anthony Martial back into action this Sunday for risk of reaggravating the French wingers injury.

What this all means is while Manchester United fans will love to see Anthony Martial walking out of the tunnel as part of the starting XI for Manchester United, considering the length of absence Anthony Martial has had this season Solskjaer might choose not to rush the strikers return especially against such a massive opponent such as Liverpool and instead wait until the next match against Partizan in the Europa League to reintroduce Martial into the starting XI. Unfortunately for Manchester United while the news regarding injuries might have improved a little with Anthony Martial set to return to action in possibly week or two from now and the positive news that Welsh winger Daniel James avoided an injury scare after James had gone down after being in a collision with Croatian defender Demago Vida during last weeks international friendly between Wales and Croatia.

While a few critics have raised some insinuations regarding the collision between Daniel James and Vida suggesting that there might have been a little play-acting in Daniel James part and also suggesting that further actions should be taken by FIFA against the Walsh winger, Daniel James remains healthy and should be cleared to make the starting XI against Liverpool this weekend.

Finally, looking past the projection of what Manchester United will be in the next few weeks as a few players make their return from injury and focusing on the here and now, the summary of this weekend's activities comes down to the undeniable reality that Manchester United will entertain Liverpool this weekend as the Red Devils stare down the barrel of what will most like be a poor result due to the underdog stature Manchester United have cultivated in relation to recent matches. Solid comparison of performance this season between the two clubs clearly puts Liverpool as the favorites to emerge victorious this weekend.

However, under Ole Gunner Solskjaer, Manchester United have proven to be a team that can step up to the plate with their backs pinned against the walls especially during big games and true Manchester United fans will be wise not to count Manchester United out from turn their season around with a decent result this weekend at Old Trafford.
