MANCHESTER UNITED PROVIDED SIMPLE AND PRACTICAL SOLUTION TO TACKLING CURRENT SEASON TROUBLES

The statistics do not lie and according to the latest statistics reports taken by the professionals and analyzed on reliable websites such as Sky sports, the current statistics released by the popular website appear to have uncovered the real reason why Manchester United is currently struggling to score more goals this season.

While other football clubs were deemed to move the ball too slowly or have a lack of willing runners chasing down opponents on their team, Manchester United's problem appears to be far less complex than most people would have expected. While most spectators might offer suggestions such as buying more expensive players or changing managers in January, the answer to Manchester United's problems has been watered down to one simple solution, taking more shots on target.

Far too simple and far too obvious to be taken seriously right? Don't be too certain! With careful analysis and a couple of minutes taken for observation towards this simple yet intriguing point, one might discover that there is a good idea behind this point worth uncovering. According to the BBC website as of the middle of October 2019, Manchester United's shot percentage, this season stood at a staggering 19 shots on goal with just barely 8 of the shots being on target. This evidently does not reflect on the last two weekends match against Norwich City away at the Carrow Road stadium last weekend where Manchester United's statistics were much improved creating 21 shots from open play with 11 of the shots being on target. But looking at the grand outlook of the current season there can be no little surprise in seeing Manchester United dropping out of the top four especially seeing as how the shots statistics for the current top four clubs having been displaying incredible numbers since the start of the 2019/20 season.

While almost half the season is coming to a close, Manchester United still have the second half of the season to improve and make a massive effort to seal a place in the top 4 of the Premier League table but this goal can be best achieved with Solskjaers team making opponents goalkeepers work a lot more harder than we have seen so far this season. Quite rightly, the situation with Manchester United's current running poor form in front of the goal has ultimately been deemed the fault of the entire Manchester United team as a collective there is still a valuable point has to be made which should be put into serious considering when the verdict of who is to blame is taken and that point is that not all the Manchester United players are truely lacking quality on the pitch this season.

One aspect of Manchester United which Analysts and surpporters will find difficult to disagree on is that forward duo Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford should be commended for their current running high-quality effort and performance which the pair have constantly displayed on the field for Manchester United since the start of the current season. The pair have combined for 7 goals and 3 assists in 21 combined matches this season. While the combined statistics between both pair might not appear to be as impressive as a lot of other players in other teams such as Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea for instance, credit must be given where credit is due and the forward duo of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford has certainly been vital in being the major instigators in injecting positive plays in Manchester United performance on the field this season.

However, judging from the performance of the team during the recent absence of both players from Manchester United's first team, a solution manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer must attempt is to either find a fourth player in the squad who can step up to the plate in terms of creating goal-scoring opportunity taking more accurate shots on goal or Manchester United will use the 2020 January transfer window to purchase one creative midfielder. The news surrounding Manchester United at the moment suggests the club is poised to take the first option of putting the creative responsibility needed from a fourth player on one of the players already present in the squad.

In the meantime, the likely candidate expected to step up to the plate in terms of filling that role of the second man who can be the next, potent, attacking threat in terms of creating goal-scoring opportunities in difficult situations appears to be Scottish midfielder Scott Mctominay. The 22-year-old Scottish midfielder has seen his career as a Manchester United player flourish so far this season after solidifying himself as a starter for Ole Gunner Solskjaer. The midfielder has gone on to reward his managers faith in him as a starter by putting on some impressive performance in the last three-four games Manchester United have played in the past two weeks making some courageous attacking runs at the opponents defense, taking a couple of risk by making and completing some impressive passes and scoring a couple of goals.

Buying a new, creative, midfielder in the coming month of January 2020 might an option the fans will want to see the club take. However, the impression received from Manchester United to the possibility of Manchester United turning to the direction of becoming a club that helps players become creative players rather than signing new creative players in the transfer window. While the idea has not been confirmed, the future for Manchester United under Solskjaer suggests the club is prepared to support the managers' vision of improving the quality of the current Manchester United squad rather than throwing money at the problem attempting to fix the situation.
