MANCHESTER UNITED BACK ON THE HUNT FOR BRUNO FERNANDES

Here we go again!

You will think that a massive club such as Manchester United will have given up the chase for a player whom the club had spent the large part of the 2019 summer transfer attempting to sign.

But no dice! The Red Devils appear to be adamant in their pursuit of this player in particular and the current speculation about Manchester United in regards to the January 2020 transfer window suggests the Red Devils are ready to return to Portugal and attempt to sign the Portuguese talent yet again. Successfully signing the Portuguese midfielder this January is no way guaranteed. However, talks between Manchester United and the Portuguese player current club Sporting Lisbon is rumored to have reopened once again. The player in question? Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

That’s right! Sporting Lisbon's' very own Bruno Fernandes is back in the spotlight as he is linked with a move to Old Trafford yet again. The 25-year-old midfielder had been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the entire year of 2019 but the move never seemed to materialize.

Back in the summer of 2019, Manchester United had been understood to have closed a verbal transfer agreement with Sporting Lisbon to sign the talented Portuguese midfield for a fee around the region of 60 million. However, the deal, the ManchesterUnitedPost understands, had unfortunately broken down as a result of both clubs failing to arrive at a mutual agreement on transfer fees. As the situation has currently unfolded, the case of Manchester United's interest in signing the Portuguese midfielder appears to paint a situation were Manchester United appear highly interested in signing Bruno Fernandes yet again. However, Manchester United are unwilling to meet the heavy price tag labeled on Bruno Fernandes.

Will Manchester United splash the cash this January for Bruno Fernandes? While there is no 100% certainty about Manchester United sign the Portuguese midfielder, the signs suggest the Red Devils will attempt to sign the Portuguese midfielder but the outcome is set to be an unsuccessful one come end of January 2020.  The story so far regarding Manchester United's interest in Bruno Fernandes appears to strongly suggest that the Portuguese midfielder is on the final lap in completing a move to Old Trafford with a high level of media outlets suggesting that the Portuguese midfielder has already put pen to paper and agreed on a massive deal to move to Manchester United.

The claim coming just 10 days into January when pictures of an unidentified figure were spotted arriving at Manchester United had surfaced on the web fueling the claim that the figure was non-other than Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes arriving at Old Trafford to finalize a potential 55 million transfer deal before the conclusion of January 2020. While the possibility of a deal set to be finalized between Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon is now expected to be looming on the horizon, the Red Devils might wait until the near end of January for the chance to conclude a deal with Sporting Lisbon.

Manchester United fans will do well not to be fazed too early by the thrilling sensation that comes with the story of Bruno Fernandes signing for Manchester United simply because the Red Devils have been in this situation before and failed to deliver at the very end.

Back in 2018, Manchester United was tipped as the team in pole position to sign the Portuguese midfielder with a bid close to the region of the current 55 million bid put on the table by the Red Devils. However, Manchester United witnessed their bid get rejected by Sporting Lisbon because Bruno Fernandes was playing a critical role in helping Sporting Lisbon maintain a vital top 4 in last seasons Primeira Liga. With a new year and the new season of the Primeira Liga now in its midway point, Sporting Lisbon's director of football continues to fuel the possibility of Manchester United signing the Portuguese midfielder with this latest comment from Sporting Lisbon manager :

“Bruno [Fernandes] is a huge player and all players like him have a lot of markets,’ said the former Wolves man. ‘I don’t like to think about that, but I’ll be thinking of alternatives in case Bruno leaves. I hope it doesn’t happen, but we have to start thinking that. “

Still not convinced? You are not alone!  A lot of Manchester United fans appear to be on the fence on the level of truth there is about Bruno Fernandes signing for the Red Devils. However, in the past few weeks, a lot of football analysts have had a lot of say in the possibility of Manchester United completing the transfer of one of the top midfielders in Europe at the moment in Bruno Fernandes. The commonality between the news received from different sources here at the ManchesterUnitedPost and the opinions of other football pundits across different sports outlets in the past two weeks appears to point to one epic conclusion which is Yes!

Manchester United hold a strong chance of signing Bruno Fernandes assuming the deal has not been concluded already. But the answer to the question of when the deal will be done and when the deal will be announced to the public is still yet to be determined, unfortunately.
