MANCHESTER UNITED POSITIVE CHAIN REACTION STARTING TO GRADUALLY UNFOLD BUT THE FINAL PRODUCT MIGHT NOT FULLY UNRAVEL QUITE YET

He is not good enough. He does not the right level of pedigree to lead a top quality club such as Manchester United into long term success. He is only able to retain his position as Manchester United manager simply because of his history and his reputation within the club.

Say what you will about manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer, doubt his ability all season long but one aspect of Ole Gunner Solskjaer job that will be difficult to ignore is the level of performance the current  Manchester United squad have consistently displayed on the football pitch for the past two months. Without a doubt, a large part of the recent massive improvement seen within Ole Gunner Solskjaer side been highly credited to the introduction of January signing Bruno Fernandes who deserves all the credit he’s been receiving recently.

With positive actions come positive results on the pitch and outside the pitch as Manchester United recent display of positive football appears to have not just renewed the passion within Manchester United fans but also reawakened desire within the majority of the clubs' current players to kick start conversations involving contract renewals early.

One such player who has wasted no time in committing himself to the long term vision and long term plans of manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer is 20 yea old Dutch winger Tahith Chong. The 20-year-old Dutch winger recently put pen to paper on a brand new 2-year contract extension set to keep the dutch winger at Manchester United until the year 2022.

While Manchester United have quickly expressed the clubs’ delight to have a young talent such as Tahith Chong remain a part of the long term project currently being developed under manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer tenure, there is currently some lingering concerns towards the potential of youngster Tahith Chong which coincidentally matches the concerns shown around the potential end product shown towards promises made towards Ole Gunner Solskjaer tenure, when will the final end product start to show?

According to Manchester United's recent results in the second half of the season, the wait for Manchester United's turn of luck in terms of playing top quality football on a consistent base and winning trophies once again might just be around the corner. There is a sense of positive change looming around the moment and from all indication, this recent change appears to have grabbed the attention of other players such as Nemanja Matic e.t.c into attempting to iron out new contracts for themselves at Old Trafford.

The big question is will the recent trend of contract renewal convince a certain french midfielder to join the trend and commit his future to Manchester United? Is Manchester United still open to the idea of retaining the services of Paul Pogba for the foreseeable future?

Returning to the story regarding Tahith Chong's new contract signed with Manchester United, there is little revealed on the level of salary expected to come with the Dutch wingers' new contract. However, considering the circumstance surrounding the situation which is the knowledge of this being a contract renewal and not an agreement for a completely new contract, the expectation surrounding the situation appears to be that the 19-year-old winger will remain in the same salary bracket his been on before the new contract with the main changes being an extension of his time as a Manchester United player.

The story of Tahith Chong's young career as a Manchester United player so far really does mirror the attitude of Manchester United fans and sports analyst toward Ole Gunner Solskjaer term as Manchester United manager, still not completely certain he is the right fit.

The good news is should Manchester United continue to perform in such high form as the club has been for the second half of the 2019/20 season, the Red Devil’s will surely see their ability to not attract the attention of more quality players during the 2020 Summer transfer window soar through the roof but also Manchester United will ultimately hold a higher chance of retaining the service of current players as a result of the simple desire from current Manchester United players to remain a part of the clear growing success now developing at Old Trafford. A clear example of this situation is the recent development around the Paul Pogba case.

A massive U-turn, a massive change of heart. Label this situation in any suitable term but the endpoint appears to be that no matter how determined a person appears to be any player's decision can be changed in the right situation. Say what you will about Paul Pogba but one thing you will attach to the French midfielders' credentials is that he is a player who enjoys a stagnant football club. Paul Pogba is a hungry midfielder who thrives in a football club hungry for success.

While a lot of critiques will criticize the French midfielders newest decision to seek a contract renewal with Manchester United in the coming summer of 2020 as a possible bandwagon decision, Ole Gunner Solskjaer and the rest of the Manchester United team and staff members will more than likely have a different opinion to the matter as a player with so much quality such as Paul Pogba will ultimately be yet another huge talent for Manchester United to have on their roster as the Red Devils continue to strive towards their return to success.

From an interim manager to the manager responsible for a massive, positive, turn around. Manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer has certainly experienced his fair of criticism and doubt in the past two seasons. However, if next season turns out to be the season Ole Gunner Solskjaer finally delivers at least one major trophy to Manchester United like reports around Old Trafford suggests the Manchester United Board members are expecting Solskjaer to deliver next season, Mauricio Pochettino might just watch his hope of becoming Manchester United manager goodbye.

With a healthy Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba all playing good football for Manchester United, long term success might not be so farfetched for Manchester United under the long-term managerial reign of Ole Gunner Solskjaer.
