One player who does fit the bill and who has been on Manchester United radar for such a long period James Maddison. The Leicester City, English midfielder has been a major talking point in all recent transfer windows with Maddison understood to be interested in joining Manchester United in the recent transfer window but at the moment, Manchester United has been unable to convince Leicester City to part ways with their top midfielder so far.  





Strong, intelligent, able to pick the right pass, skilled and a player who can find the back of the net. The statistics on James Maddison paints the English midfielder as a natural fit for the trophy caliber team Manchester United is currently building at Old Trafford. The current talk of a potential move from Leicester City to Manchester United for James Maddison will not be the first time the English midfielder is linked with a move to Old Trafford. 


Back in 2019, James Maddison had emerged as one of Manchester United's desired targets during the 2019 January transfer window and remaining a priority target for Manchester United during the subsequent 2019 summer transfer window after the 23-year-old midfielder played an integral part in Leicester City Premier League trophy-winning campaign back in 2016. 

With a Premier League medal achieved, James Maddison quickly solidified his role as one of the star players within the Leicester City squad and with star quality Maddison possess, Manchester United’s interest in signing the player did not take long to unravel with the Red Devils prepared to attempt to sign the English midfielder yet again during the upcoming 2020 Summer transfer window after earlier attempts to sign the English midfielder failed to materialize back in 2019.  





What ManchesterUnitedPost understands from the developing story on a potential move to Manchester United in the Summer of 2020 is that Leicester City sees James Maddison as an integral part of the future of the current Leicester City team and the Foxes have no intention of parting ways with the English midfielder. 


While no offers have been made by Manchester United for James Maddison as of yet, what the ManchesterUnitedPost makes of the situation is that Manchester United will be presenting a bid to Leicester City when the 2020 Summer transfer window but there is no confirmation yet to suggest Leicester City will be open to entertaining any deal offered by Manchester United during the 2020 Summer transfer window.    





However, despite the resistance from Leicester City football club to part ways with their 23-year-old inform midfielder at any point in the future, what the ManchesterUnitedPost understands regarding this situation is that Manchester United and English midfielder James Maddison appear to already be on the same page in terms of the potential of making James Maddison a Manchester United player before the start of next season. At the moment no official offer has been made from Manchester United end in an attempt to sign James Maddison. 


But, what ManchesterUnitedPost also understands in regards to Manchester United's interest in James Maddison is that the Red Devils are expected to launch a bid with a fee of around 80 million expected to paid by Manchester United yet again for yet another Leicester City player in the 2020 Summer transfer window. 



Make no mistake about the situation, James Maddison will be an excellent addition to a Manchester United side who have started to walk away from their notable defensive-minded approach last season into a stronger attacking force this season. None the less, considering the high level of importance James Maddison holds`in the current Leicester City side which is currently thriving under manager Brandon Rogers, the situation becomes unclear to see how Manchester United can convince Leicester City to part ways with yet another thriving player. 
  






While ManchesterUnitedPost will keep a close eye on the situation between Manchester United and Leicester City subsequently addressing any future progress regarding the future of English Midfielder James Maddison and any progress made by Manchester United in an attempt to sign the English midfielder before the end of the 2020 Summer transfer window.   


Should Manchester United establish a midfield which consists of trio Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and James Maddison before the start of the 2019/20 season, the Red Devils will be presented with a great opportunity to return to the ranks of Premier League and Champions League contenders by the start of the 2020/21 Premier League and Champions League campaign. 


A great opportunity Manchester United will allow to pass by should the Red Devils fail to secure the services of Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and James Maddison as the club midfield trio for the longer term.
