MANCHESTER UNITED TALK- SQUAD NEWS AND UPDATE AFTER INTERNATIONAL BREAK

.

The international break is over and the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League as well as other various domestic football competitions taking place across England is back in full force as the race to secure some of the most prestigious trophies across Europe resumes this weekend.

Over the past week, Manchester United football club willingly dispatched several of the club's senior players to represent their various countries in the recently concluded international matches which took place over the past two weeks of October 2020. While on the break, the unspoken fear across Old Trafford appeared to be the possibility that a hand full of players within the Manchester United squad might pick up minor injuries or even worse, a hand full of players within the Manchester United squad might pick up major injuries which will inevitably keep players out of action for a long. The worse part of the recent international break was that considering that the world was still in the midst of a deadly Covid19 pandemic creating a higher chance of football players, in general, returning to their clubs less than %100 fit, clubs across Europe had every reason to be concerned about the health and safety of players involved in international during over the past two weeks especially considering the number of matches scheduled for the next couple of months.

Here is the news that has been making the headlines recently for the Red Devils and Manchester United supporters might want to hold on for this one because, in full disclosure, these headlines are not all good news. Not in the slightest. Let’s start off with the not so surprising news of Paul Pogba hinting at a possible, desired, exit from Manchester United yet again, Then there is the news of Eric Bailey suffering yet another injury during his recent international duties with Ivory Coast, Anthony Martial recent displays of unrest and mental discomfort meaning the french striker has displayed recently that he might not be completely level headed at the moment. That fact is that the Red Devils could not have started the season with any more bad news than the ones there are currently facing. Despite all the negative news, believe this or not, there is some positive news to touch on today.

For starters, Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford just received the MBE award. A highly prestigious award in recognition of the English striker’s accomplishments outside of football involving Humanitarian work and social activities in recent years. A magnificent accomplishment for a young player of merely 22 years old who continues to display outstanding qualities not just in the football field but also continues to display magnificent, humanitarian, qualities outside the football pitch as well.

While this topic has been covered by so many news outlets and covered by so many other media outlets over the past couple of weeks, a massive thanks and congratulations are sent out to Marcus Rashford in this part of today’s article in recognition of the Manchester United’s ability to care for people in such a massively significant form. Thank you, Marcus Rashford, and continue to remain as positive as you can be. Now back to today’s topic.

The other exciting part of what is to come this season is a little bit of extra, exciting, quality off the bench for Manchester United. Yes, the facts are the board of directors were unable to give manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer all he wanted this summer which was an experienced right-sided center back, a left full-back, another creative central midfielder, and an established creative right-winger. However, the board of directors at Manchester United did manage from the 2020 summer transfer window signing one experienced striker in Edinson Cavani and also signing a talented 27 years old Portuguese left-back in Alex Telles, a 23-year-old talented midfielder in Donny van de Beak as well as recently completing a deal for 18-year-old winger Amad Traore for 27 million dollars.

Looking at the squad Ole Gunner Solskjaer has on his hands, the Red Devils appear to be in good shape after the recent international break with a fairly healthy squad which will provide comfort to the club manager knowing he has a healthy squad to battle the upcoming challenge to achieve success at the end of this season.

Besides the slight scare with Eric Bailey on his slight injury while on duty with his National side Cote de Vore, which Eric Bailey himself announced via Instagram that the rumored injury was nothing but a slight knock, nothing serious at all with the Ivory Coast defender proceeding to state that he is healthy and available for the upcoming games on the calendar for Manchester United, the Red Devils reportedly have a complete set of healthy players returning to this week's set of the fixture which will be a delightful reprieve for manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer as Manchester United heads into what might be a tough couple days ahead with games against Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Arsenal coming in thick and fast in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League competition.

Manchester United board of directors will hope to see a good run of form from the Manchester United team as justification for the level of investment made by the Red Devils during the recently concluded 2020 summer transfer window.

However, with the lack of proper attention or the lack of proper investment given to threatening Manchester United’s efficiency in the right-wing area and the right-center back area, Manchester United might struggle this season as a result of the holes in certain positions which the Manchester United hierarchy have ultimately failed to address and failed to resolve this past summer.
