MANCHESTER UNITED RECENTLY LINKED TO SOME VERY INTERESTING STORIES
The month of November is not typically known to usher in any serious conversations involving the transfer window.
But then again, when the main topic of the conversation involves a certain big club in England called Manchester United football club, conversations connecting Manchester United with completing one or two transfer business never really goes away. Just this past 2020 summer season, Manchester United were reported to have prepared to move into the Camp Nou which is the main residence of Spanish side FC Barcelona for anyone who is not familiar with the stadium and the reported reason for Manchester United interest in Camp Nou to sign star forward Lionel Messi.
A possibility that never really manifested into reality but what the story did portray is that Manchester United might be transitioning back into a football club ready to invest in big-money signings in the pursuit of various trophies once again.
According to the degree of information which the Manchester United Channel has received these past few days, Manchester United is understood to have started an early move for one of Europe's biggest names Cristiano Ronaldo in a business deal which if completed will see Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo return to the club that played a major part in propelling the Portuguese forwards' name to legendary status back during his time at Manchester United back in 2003 until 2009.
In actuality, the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United is a conversation that has been lingering inside Old Trafford for quite a while. Back in
Looking back a few years before the current talk of a return to Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo was rumored to be on his way back to Old Trafford in the summer of 2018, the Portuguese winger was original rumored to be prepared to pull off what some might have said to be a sort of a prodigal son story between Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a nostalgic sense, the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United rumored to take place in the year 2021 will be a fairy tale ending which will be embraced by Manchester United football club and a fairy tale ending which will most especially be embraced by Manchester United fans worldwide. Although looking at the situation from a cost-effective sense, there is yet to be strong evidence to suggest that signing Cristiano Ronaldo at 36 will lead to groundbreaking results on the pitch for Manchester United.
However, this does not mean that signing Cristiano Ronaldo be the wrong move for Manchester United. Let`s not forget that this is still the same Cristiano Ronaldo who helped Juventus win the Serie A twice in the two seasons he has been at Juventus. Therefore, the question is not will Ronaldo move to Manchester United? the better question is: will a possible move to Old Trafford produce a positive long-term result for both Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United? At the moment, there are few reasons to suggest a positive long-term result will manifest itself next season if Cristiano Ronaldo does in fact return to Manchester United next year.
On the outside, the idea of one of the best footballers, if not the best footballer in the world Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Manchester United either in January 2021 or while the idea of Cristiano Ronaldo making a return to Manchester United sounds like a great idea that is believed to happen in the summer of 2021, few concerns have been presented against the idea of Manchester United re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo in 2021. One of the most popular questions which have made news concerning the topic of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Manchester United is should Cristiano Ronaldo return to Manchester United, how will the pace of Premier League affect the level of performance seen from Cristiano Ronaldo?
The truth is that there really is no concrete data that has provided evidence to suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo at the age of 35 and turning 36 years in 2021 cannot perform on a high level in the Premier League if the Portuguese forward does return to Manchester United next year. The Portuguese forward has already proven quite recently that he can still go head-to-head and even on most occasions the Cristiano Ronaldo has proven that he can outrun any modern footballer in the race to the pinnacle in terms of ranks.
The problem that stands in the way of a reunion between Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo is the question of can Cristiano Ronaldo at the age of 35 keep up with the pace and the competitive nature of the Premier League? At the moment, the answer appears to be a no considering the news of Manchester United's growing interest in the pursuit of 21-year-old Portuguese center-back David Carmo.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer at the moment appears to be building a team that stands on the main foundation of youth and a positive future. Although Cristiano Ronaldo is still one of the best footballers at the moment even in his mid-thirties, the prospect of Manchester United resigning the former Ballon d’Or winner in 2021 appears set to remain a dream instead of a reality for Manchester United
