MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER TALK : ARE THERE ANY SERIOUS TRANSFER BUSSINESS MANCHESTER UNITED ARE CURRENTLY INVOLVED AS WE NEAR THE END OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW ?

Well, this is interesting! There can be little debate to be made concerning the reality that Manchester United are in serious need of a central defensive midfielder.

With 32-year-old (33 in August) Nemanja Matic marching ever closer to the very late stages of his football career and with teammates Fred Rodrigues and Scott McTominay displaying a lack of mental responsibility to refuse the urge to join the attack but instead show the defensive discipline needed as a defensive midfielder.

As a result, Manchester United continue to stare down the unfortunate rabbit hole of not only losing a good midfielder in Paul Pogba without securing any signing who fit is perfect as an equal quality replacement for the possibly departing French midfielder, but now Manchester United are faced with the extra problem of wondering who exactly will replace Nemanja Matic in that defensive midfield role as we move forward into the future?

A few expectations of what the near future will present in regards to the unwritten destiny between Manchester United & Paul Pogba continue to place last year’s signing Donny van der Beak as the direct replacement for rumored, outgoing, midfielder Paul Pogba with points being presented that Donny van der Beak can operate in that box-to-box role as well as influencing Manchester United’s attack from a deep midfield role by delivering devastating passes from the deeper part of the field or simply picking up the ball from Manchester United’s own half of the field and then carrying the ball into the opponent's half while cutting the opponent's defense open with such A-List dribbling skills.

While Donny van de Beak is no slouch himself when the topic of flair, agility, strength, and stamina needed to operate in that deep midfield role, the Dutch midfielder has made a name for himself as a midfielder who operates better as a winger, a wing forward or a center attacking midfielder who has the license to move forward and join the attack at any given point in any match. As a result, there will be some level of difficulty trying to envision Donny van de Beak as the direct replacement for Paul Pogba next season simply because both players operate in such different roles on the pitch.

So, the big question is which other players are Manchester United trying to sign this January 2021 transfer window, and are there any midfielders involved?

Midfielders might not be a priority for Manchester United in the current 2021 January transfer window but one area of the pitch which looks very apparent to be an area of concern for Manchester United considering the level of goals conceded by the Red Devils last season, defensive reinforcements is quite understandably a very important area Manchester United are intent on addressing as best as possible.

As a result, the possible arrival of a very versatile defender such as David Alaba who can play various positions such as Full Back, Center Back and center defensive midfield position makes David Alaba a top signing for a Manchester United team that appear to be in search of extra quality in different parts of the field. The only two downsides that seem to be a roadblock for Manchester United in terms of fully pursuing the deal this January appears to be the players' age and the level of competition Manchester United are currently facing from other clubs this 2021 transfer window in the race to sign David Alaba.

Clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Paris St German, etc., some of the most high-profile clubs across Europe have all entered the race to sign the top-rated 28-year-Old Swiss versatile player which makes Manchester United’s desire to move David Alaba over from the Allianz Arena to Old Trafford that much more difficult to accomplish within the space of the January transfer window alone. The most interesting part of this particular transfer business that appears to be incredibly enticing for Manchester United appears to be the reality that with David Alaba’s contract with Bayern Munich now almost over, the Swiss international is considered a free agent.

Meaning that should Manchester United seal a deal for the Swiss International’s services this January, the Red Devil will most likely pay next to nothing in regards to transferring royalties this January 2021. A deal that is understood to be very enticing for Manchester United manager Ole Gunner  Solskjaer and the board of directors at Manchester United football club.

From a purely statistical point of view, while David Alaba’s role as a multi-purpose player- meaning a player who can play different roles and occupy different positions on the field- will suit an injury-prone Manchester United team as a good signing to have in the Manchester United roaster as a player who can either start matches in various positions per match, the information being relayed here at Manchester United Channel is that the Switzerland international is poised to be headed to Spain to either play for Spanish giants Real Madrid or Spanish giants Barcelona with Manchester United in with a slither of a chance of sealing the deal for David Alaba’s services this January.

This 2021 January transfer window continues to display just how tight finances are for Manchester United and with the few finances invested into the January transfer window- from what is understood here at the Manchester United Channel website, at the moment- the finances to be invested in the January 2021 transfer window stands at a decent amount from the Board of Directors at Manchester United this January 2021, Manchester United still stands in a position of sealing at least clinch one more signing this 2021 January transfer window.

However, with the conclusion of yet another transfer window yet to be determined in terms of Manchester United signing new players or not for the remainder of the January 2021 transfer window, the signs suggest that Manchester United might end the 2021 January transfer window with two more signings at most to conclude the business conducted by the club this 2021 January transfer window.
