Let's clear the air and set the record straight.

Heading into the 2021 January transfer window, Manchester United had a couple of position that was and is still clearly lacking sufficient quality and before the end of the 2021 January Transfer Window, the Red Devils were expected to sign a few extra players to add quality to Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s squad within these few positions such as the center back position, the central defensive position

Clearly Manchester United was unable to secure new signings who will add sufficient quality to all these positions during the 2021 January transfer window, the summer transfer window now presents itself as the only realistic option Manchester United has to address this quality deprived positions meaning the Red Devils will have to fend off all opponents with the current squad presented to Ole Gunner Solskjaer as Manchester United attempts to hang on to their current spot at the top of the table for the rest of the season.

Good luck Manchester United!

Don't think there is anyone with good football knowledge who has watched Manchester United that would dispute the point that Manchester United’s main area of deficiency during this 2020/21 season has been the Central defensive midfielder, center back, and both wings position this season. So, let’s see where the club stands as we enter the last week of the 2021 January transfer window. As early as the first week of January, the Red Devils had already completed the signing of two young players in Facundo Pallestri and Ahmed Traore.

Two wingers who will most certainly add quality in the wing positions in the future for Manchester United. A reasonable move that certainly builds on the longer-term future success for Manchester United. The problem is that both signings solve a long-term problem for Manchester United which is the presence of young out-n-out, young, right-wingers who can undoubtedly grow into first-team players in the future.

However, signing both Ahmed Dialo and Faucundo Pallestri alone during the 2021 January Transfer Window failed to find the current problem facing the club which is the absence of an experienced, quick, right-sided center back and a backup, defensive-minded, central defensive midfielder who can diligently stay behind and provide defensive support to Manchester United defenders.

So how has Manchester United faired so far in the 2021 January transfer window as we approach the end of the transfer window? Let's take a look.

Besides the usual gossip around Paul Pogba leaving Manchester United, which by now every sports journalist and every football fan will expect as normality that will always be attached to Manchester United during the course of every transfer window. The rumors of Pogba leaving Manchester United in the January 2021 transfer window will continue to be an everyday conversation attached to Manchester United because until Paul Pogba makes the decision of either signing a new contract with Manchester United or until Paul Pogba leaves Manchester United during the 2021 January or summer transfer window, Manchester United are stuck in this mess of a story every day of the transfer window.

With the understanding that the situation between Manchester United and Paul Pogba continues to paint the picture of a player destined to stay at Old Trafford this January & then subsequently depart Manchester United during the course of the 2021 summer transfer window, is there any business already in motion for Manchester United as we head to the conclusion of the 2021 January transfer window?

Surprisingly enough, the early part of the 2021 January Transfer window has not been dominated by multiple serious talks of players signing for Manchester United. On the contrary, the 2021 January transfer window has largely been dominated with talks of a handful of current Manchester United players possibly on their way out of Old Trafford this 2021 January transfer window. With current excess players such as Phil Jones, Marcus Rojo, and a few others expected to already be on their way out of Manchester United or expected to have been moved from Manchester United at the end of the January 2021 transfer window, one player, in particular, has been thoughted as a near certainty to have already left Manchester United by now or near certain to depart Manchester United by the end of the 2021 January transfer window is Jesse Lingard.

Speaking from a purely factual standpoint, the current conversation centered around a potential exit from Manchester United for Jesse Lingard, a decision set to be carried out by the end of the 2021 transfer window comes as n no surprise to the majority of football analysts and the majority of football supporters who have been paying close attention to what has been unraveling at Manchester United for the past two years. Clear evidence derived from the lack of match minutes and clear evidence derived from the depleted witnessed in performances displayed by Jesse Lingard over the past two years has seen the English midfielder fall deep down the pecking order in the Manchester United roster.

As a result, the information received here at Manchester United Channel suggests Jesse Lingard has claimed a high spot in the list of players on his way out of Old Trafford if not January then during the 2021 summer transfer window with Italian side Inter Millan amongst the top teams to secure the English midfielder’s signature.

This will not come as major news to football lovers and this information might be received with little to no surprise by people who have been up to date with information related to Manchester United but current Manchester United and current England midfielder Jesse Lingard has been linked with a move to clubs such as Italian side Inter Milan and Newcastle United at the top of the list of clubs ready to take the 28-year-old English midfielder off Manchester United’s hands in 2021.

With the current contract between Manchester United and Jesse Lingard set to expire in 2022 after the recently agreed contract extension between Manchester United and Jesse Lingard is now set to last until 2022, the evidence suggests Jesse Lingard will remain a Manchester United player until the summer of 2021. At which point Manchester United will look to move the English midfielder to a Tottenham, Brighton Hope Albion during the 2022 January transfer window.

Another possibility that is far less likely but very probable is, as previously mentioned, that a move to an Inter Milan side develops for Jesse Lingard this January or a far more likely scenario is that, from the intel received here at Manchester United Channel, the Red Devil might engineer a move for Jesse Lingard to join English side Newcastle either by the end of January 2021 or during the 2021 summer transfer window with the latter looking the far more likely scenario to play out this year.
