MANCHESTER UNITED TRIGGERED LOAN DEAL THAT COULD YET PROVE BE A VERY COSTLY DECISION THIS SEASON

This week on Manchester United Channel there is a little bit of interesting news to touch on. Now depending on which side of the fence each reader has chosen to stand on while reading this article, the main topic of this article might be received as positive news but on the other hand, the main topic of tonight's article might be received as negative news.

However, in regards to the response given to the article, the determining factor on the type of emotion given to this article will most certainly come down to how each reader feels about this week's article. To avoid beating around the bush, let’s get straight to the point and say that this week’s article is about a loan deal that recently transpired at Old Trafford that really has caught the attention of Manchester United Channel.

According to information received here at Manchester United Channel, Manchester United have made the decision of signing defender Tegan Mengi on a new three-year contract extension securing Mengi’s future as a Manchester United center-back but at the same time, the information received here at Manchester United Channel is that the Red Devils have released the promising center back Tegen Mengi to a season-long loan deal to English Championship side Derby County.

The news can certainly create a little bit of uncertainty as to which direction Manchester United is currently the club's future. On the one hand, triggering a loan deal for a young deal can be seen as a smart move from Manchester United. The reason why this could be a smart move for Manchester United is that the move allows young defender Tenden Mengi, who is still only 18 years old, to move away from Old Trafford temporarily which provides the young, defender with the opportunity to step away from Old Trafford and use his current season-long loan with Derby County as a huge opportunity to gain experience as a first-team defender.

With that experience under his belt, Tenden Mengi can then return to Old Trafford with enough credentials to stake a claim for a center-back role on a rotating starting XI in the Manchester United first team.

The bigger question is- can Manchester United afford to lose one center back in a center-back position that currently carries a few question marks attached to it? Does this loan spell for Tegen Mengi signal a possible move by Manchester United to make room for a new center-back signing by the end of the 2021 summer transfer window? The reality is that there is no definitive answer to the question at the moment.

With the summer transfer window now fast approaching, there is now a lot of rumor swirling around Manchester United concerning possible incoming signings to be made this summer in the transfer window. At the moment, the news around Manchester United points to the idea that Manchester United is ready to spend once again in the 2021 summer transfer window. In the early part of March 2021, the news received here on the Manchester United Channel website indicated that Manchester United is ready to spend once again during the 2021 summer transfer window.

With that being said, the question now is which player will Manchester United make the club’s priority signing this summer? Will Manchester United complete any signing this summer? What position will the club prioritize in terms of making signings in the 2021 summer transfer window that will improve that position? These are all conversations that the Manchester United Channel will certainly address in the summer of 2021 with the help of various reliable information received here at Manchester United Channel.

For tonight’s article, the topic of discussion will most certainly be the recent decision taken by Manchester United football club to extend the loan deal agreement between the Red Devils and English division two side Derby County. A deal that will see 19-year defender Tegan Mengi remain on loan with Derby County until the end of the 2020/21 season.

On the one hand, Manchester United has possibly viewed the extended loan spell of the English defender at Derby County as the right opportunity that provides first-team football for the young defender. As a result of the amount of first-team football received during his loan spell with Derby County, Manchester United will then look to engineer a return from Pride Park Stadium to Old Trafford and possibly earn a spot as a starter in a rotating schedule for the center back pairings in the Manchester United starting XI.

This certainly fits well with the current selection process regularly implemented by current Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in regards to the lack of change scarcely implemented to the Manchester United backline by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has est6ablished a certain mode of operation which is that if a certain system has produced some level of success, which as recent evidence shows suggests Manchester United is less likely to change the current stating XI at any point in the current season leaving less room for non-prominent starters to be afforded game time in the current squad.

With the reality of a rigid starting XI now enforced, a loan deal for young players such as Tegan Mengi was more likely to be the next course of action taken by  Manchester United but with the Red Devils poised to face a tough stretch filled with Premier League matches and Europa League matches from now until the end of the season, fatigues and injuries might yet play a role once again this season.

If that is the case, come the end of the season, Manchester United might be left to look back at some of the loan deals sanctioned this season or Manchester United might loo8k back at some of the unused youth options within the Manchester United academy and look at these players as an unused potential that could have given Manchester United that little extra spark needed to turn zero points into a point or more this 2020/21 season.
