Lack of steady center-back pairing has been one major issue that Manchester United just cannot seem to shake off for the better part of a decade now.

Ever since the departure of what can sometimes be referred to as the last, strong-dependable, center back pairing Manchester United has had in Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, Manchester United have consistently struggled to really assemble a new center-back pairing which the Red Devils can look up to as a solid pairing that will solid defensive protection in front of David De Gea or Dean Henderson for the course of an entire season.

Manchester United Ole Gunner Solskjaer has consistently been quick to intervene in any conversation relating to the current Center Back options available within the current Manchester United manager insisting that the current group of players listed as center backs within the current Manchester United roster is good enough to take Manchester United back to the pinnacle of English football which is becoming Premier League champions and back to the pinnacle of European football which is being called champions of the UEFA Champions League competition once again.

The only problem with the claims of dependable defense being present within the current Manchester United team is that the statistics of goals conceded by Manchester United over the past three years at least and Manchester United’s inability to produce consistent clean sheets with a system that can only accommodate one central defensive midfielder continues to point to the signs that say that Manchester United’s center-back recruitment might not be quite done.

With that being said, the next logical step to be taken by Manchester United will be to emerge from the 2021 summer transfer with one signature center back signing as a statement of intent of serious intent to be champions next season.

While Manchester United have made a big move in the team's defensive department by securing Eric Bailey’s services at Manchester United for another three years after the Ivorian defender signed a new three-year contract with Manchester United at the early stages of 2021 painted the picture that Manchester United will not sign a defender this summer.

However, with manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer openly admitting in one of the post-matches interviews, he had taken back in November 2020 that even though Manchester United was comfortable with the current group of defenders listed as Manchester United players. This notion had originally eradicated the idea that Manchester United will sign a new center-back during this 2021 summer transfer window.

But with manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer quickly setting the records straight in an interview a couple of months ago where he hinted that the possibility of Manchester United signing a new defender before the end of the 2021 Summer transfer window, reports and conversations on which defender Manchester United will sign this summer has not stopped circulating.

With the conversation on Manchester United’s, highly requested, defensive reinforcement now open for discussion in this latest article from Manchester United Channel, let’s take a look at the information received here at Manchester United Channel regarding which defender Manchester United is aiming to sign this 2021 summer transfer window.

Of cause, the biggest news coming out of Manchester United so far concerning any type of signing so far is the news that Manchester United have secured the services of current in-form striker Edinson Cavani to a further year meaning Manchester United will see the presence of their current inform Uruguayan striker in a Manchester United shirt for the rest of the 2021 season and for the entire 2021/22 season.

Great news for Manchester United certainly because having a prolific striker such as Edinson Cavani and an informed Anthony Martial- when the French striker gets back to being 100% healthy- taking turns leading the attack for Manchester United next season, Manchester United’s attack suddenly looks a dangerous prospect heading into next season.

While Manchester United’s attack seems to have been dealt with for next season even before the 2021 summer transfer window kicks into full gear, there are still a few other areas in this Manchester United team that certainly needs addressing this 2021 Summer transfer window. With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the transfer moves reportedly being made by Manchester United over the course of the 2021 Summer transfer window through some of the information received here at the Manchester United channel

The conversation making waves through various sports outlets across the globe concerning Manchester United is the rumor that the Red Devils are almost guaranteed to emerge from the 2021 summer transfer window with at least one right-winger by the end of the 2021 summer transfer window.

Although no meetings and no conversations have taken place between Manchester United and any other club in regards to any willingness Manchester United might have to sign any new winger as of yet this summer, the conversation that is expected to take place this summer is a possible sit down between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund for the services of Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund has recently reduced their valuation for Jadon Sancho before the 2021 summer transfer window kicked off from the previous 108 million which was demanded by Borussia Dortmund two summers ago to a now heavily depleted 88 million.

Certainly, a very enticing offer for the current owners of Manchester United football club the Glazers who will see the new, heavily reduced, the price tag for Jadon Sancho as a massive opportunity to deliver a player who was desperately wanted at Old Trafford as a way to possibly win over the Manchester United fan base after the Glazer family’s recent involvement with the massive Super League debacle.

No clear certification yet to suggest that Jadon Sancho is on his way to Old Trafford especially with players such as Masson Greenwood, Amad Dialo, and Facundo Pellistri all capable of operating out on the wing for Manchester United, the prospect of Jadon Sancho or any other winger arriving at Manchester United continues to remain highly improbable as we move further into the 2021 Summer transfer window.
