The 2021/22 football season has finally begun and for the fanbase what an exciting period this promises to be with various clubs around the league now reenergized as the final curtain call starts to come down for the nearly concluded 2021 summer transfer window. 


What did we see in the 2021 Summer transfer window?  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, we saw Tottenham FC give up Erik Lamela plus a £21.6 million fee two acquire the services of 20-year-old Spanish winger Brian Gill from the Spanish side Sevilla this summer. There was also the movie involving arsenal and Belgian teen Anderlecht for the £15 million signings of Albert Sambi Lokonga etc. Many other movements happened during the recently concluded 2021 summer transfer window, which made the 2021 summer season a very exciting period for football fans, including Manchester United fans.  





However, some good things must come to an end to make way but the next exciting prospect and in this case, the next exciting activity regarding football is the new 2021 Premier League season already underway. Which team will lift the trophy this season? 


Which team will qualify for the UEFA Champions League competition and which teams will, unfortunately, get relegated at the end of the season? 


These are all exciting outcomes to look forward to for the rest of the season but for now tonight's article it's all about addressing one topic and that is where will Manchester United end up at the end of this season considering the improvements made to this Manchester United team over the course of the 2021 summer transfer window? Quite a very good topic to get into so without further address the main topic of this article. 

 

 

 



CAN MANCHESTER UNITED LIFT A MAJOR TROPHY AT THE END OF THE NEW 2021/22 FOOTBALL SEASON WITH THE LEVEL OF IMPROVEMENTS ADMINISTERED TO THIS MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM OVER THE COURSE OF THE 2021 SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW? 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Here is the thing, Manchester United has done exceptionally well with adding players such as Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to add to the quality within this Manchester United squad. What this means is that with Manchester United to tackle the current season with the services of players such as Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Harry McGuire, Luke Shaw all listed within the Manchester United squad, the Red Devils suddenly look like a team that can make a huge run in this seasons Premier League campaign and this season's UEFA Champions League campaign?  

 

Can Manchester United win one major trophy or can Manchester United maybe even win two major trophies this season?  

 

Well, let's not get carried away. before jumping to conclusions.  Let's first make a realistic comparison between the current Manchester United see and other big teams in the Premier League and across Europe. With the help of unbiased comparison, the one major concern Manchester United will have as a hindrance to Manchester United ability to win a major trophy this season is squad depth, 

 

In all honesty, Manchester United's level of creativity at the moment is down to Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandez, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beak and Anthony Martial. That's six specific players that can make something happen for Manchester United in regards to creativity during the current 2021/ 22 football season. 



On the bench, Manchester United has lined up players such as Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Fred Rodriguez, and Scott McTominay as impact players who can come off the bench and hopefully change the result of a game in Manchester United favor.  
 

 

 

 

 

 


 

While some people might consider the presence of some of these “bench players” as a sign that Ole Gunner Solskjaer has some quality depth in the squad, further observation with the help of comparison two teams around the Premier League and other leagues around Europe suggest the idea of Manchester United having deep quality in their roster might not be the case after all.

The Red Devils hold a 60% chance of security trophy at the end of the 2021/ 22 season considering the improvements made by Manchester United during the last two transfer windows. However, success will not be attained through individual talent alone. Manchester United's ability to succeed in lifting a major trophy this season might ultimately calm down these specific decisions made by manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer.
