MANCHESTER UNITED LET LACK OF CONFIDENCE AND LACK OF DETERMINATION TO IMPOSE ATTACKING FOOTBALL ON ALL OPPONENTS DICTATE THEIR LEVEL OF FOOTBALL FOR A GOOD PORTION OF LAST SEASON - WILL THE OUTCOME REMAIN THE SAME FOR THE RED DEVILS IN NEXT SEASON'S BARCLAYS' FA WOMENS' SUPER LEAGUE? (Part 3)

Obviously, what Manchester United women's team had witnessed throughout the 2021/22 season is a clear backfire on the strategic choice made by the Manchester United women's team to sit back and absorb pressure from opponents while trying to find weaknesses within the opponents' defense and while also simultaneously attempting to keep the opponent at arm's length with the clear intent of triggering an effective counter-attack being the preferred cause of action adopted by the Red Devils last season.  

 





The clear intent instigated by the Manchester United women's team last season under Mark Skinner was to focus massive attention and the Defensive end while instigating the bulk of chances created by the Red Devils in any match played this past season on the back of high-rate defense leading to counterattack, particularly against the top three teams in the league.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hold the defensive line, retain possession & hit opponents in the counterattack.  

 

 

A conservative strategy that proved quite effective against teams Situated in the mid-table with such lower end of the table of the Barclays FA winners Superleague as the Red Devils intended to build the success off the back of suffocating defense while taking their chances through intense counterattacking measures. A strategy that the Red Devils used particularly to secure as many points as possible In Difficult games last season.  

 

This clearly was the summited strategy drawn up by current Manchester United manager Mark Skinner for the majority of the 2021/22 Barclays FA Super League season. in fact, this strategy proved to be quite efficient as Manchester United matched up to the same Impressive Position of fourth Place which the Red Devils had finished within their first three seasons in the Barclays, FA Women's Super League so far.  

 

 

 

 

 

 


With the Red Devils having ended last season would nothing more than three points short of that coveted Champions League qualification spot, this outcome, unfortunately, left the Red Devils at the end of last season with the unfortunate final outcome of yet again finishing outside the Champions League qualifications spot. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not finishing in a position that guaranteed the Red Devils attained one of the Champions League qualifications spots was certainly an unfortunate situation for the Manchester United women's team Who had played with a more impressive level of football for the entirety of last season. 

 

 

 

 

However, the upside of such an impressive season by the Manchester United women's team last season is that the Manchester United women's team has now established itself as one of the top four teams consistently in the Barclays FA Women's Super League. But the next step surely has to be to find an answer to this all-important question. How can the Manchester United women assert themselves into that coveted top three spots which will guarantee Champions League qualification for the Red Devils next season? 

 






 

The realistic answer at the moment surely must be that next season, Manchester United manager Mark Skinner must find a way to integrate high-quality attacking football with high-quality defensive football which will establish some balance between offense and defense for this Manchester United Women's team. A system that has clearly proven effective for some of the top teams who have gone forward to achieve top success in modern football over the past few decades. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course, there is still an important topic left to be addressed by the Manchester United Board as a method by which the Manchester United Board can retain the work of instigating growth and progression in the Manchester United women's team.


The topic or issue yet to be addressed by the Manchester United Board is a topic that can be presented in the form of a question- How many of the current players within the Manchester United women's team will still retain their place with the Red Devils at the start of next season?  

 








With Manchester United yet to address their current contract situation with a handful of Manchester United players set to be out of contract this 2022 summer season, Manchester United women's team might yet again see themselves] in desperate need to instigate two or three major moves in the Ongoing 2022 summer transfer window with replacements needed for outgoing players whom will be out of contract this 2022 summer Season.  

 

 

 

 

 

A situation that might still be avoided if the Manchester United Board can draw up relevant contracts and then subsequently present these contracts to outgoing players to retain the quality currently existing within the Manchester United women's team. 

 

 
 

 

 

 


 

So far, according. to information received over the past couple of weeks, there is no sense that Manchester United is prepared to present any new contracts to current key players who are currently out of contract within the Manchester United women's team. Although, little relevant information received over the past month suggests that serious talks are set to be held between a few of the executives at Manchester United and the current out-of-contract players within the Manchester United women's team.  

 

 

 


 


 

The understood goal behind the potential upcoming meeting between players and Executives at Manchester United is reportedly set to be based on the intent that both the current out of contract players and the current Manchester United executives are hoping to reach an agreement that will see key players who are out of contract be retained at Manchester United. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The notion of Manchester United offering current out-of-contract players new contracts and these players helpfully signing the contracts continues to be the current conversation floating around Leah Sports Village. Information received suggested that Manchester United will indeed ignite talks with players with the goal of new contracts offered to display a still retain their services at Manchester United for the longer term.

With potential improvements implemented into the Manchester United women's team are expected to be accomplished by Injecting more quality into the team through the 2022 summer transfer window as well as through the intent of retaining the current level of quality players within the Manchester United women's team- a goal which can be achieved by the Manchester United hierarchy through providing new contracts to current players within the Manchester United women's team who are out of contract this 2022 summer season- a substantial level of improved football can certainly be expected from the Manchester United women's team next season. 













With that being said, can Champions League football finally be seen as a level of achievement attained by the Manchester United women's team next at the end of next season?
